Amanda Halterman is not one to fade into the background. While 1000-lb Sisters began by following Amy and Tammy Slaton’s weight loss journeys, Amanda has slowly carved out her own space, and her voice is louder than ever. With a new relationship, a new grandbaby, and the same no-nonsense energy that fans love, Amanda is keeping things interesting on and off camera.

At 44, Amanda’s life has undergone many changes, but one thing remains constant: she doesn’t tolerate disrespect from anyone. Whether it’s a family member or a stranger on Instagram, Amanda knows how to stand her ground.

"Don't come for me unless I send for you,"

she warned in one of her recent online clapbacks. And she meant it.

From hospital visits to becoming a grandmother, season 7 of 1000-lb Sisters proves that Amanda’s story is just as dramatic and compelling as her sisters’.

Amanda is bringing the heat on 1000-lb Sisters

Amanda has been part of the 1000-lb Sisters world for a while now, but her presence has grown significantly by season 7. While she wasn’t on the early seasons due to her divorce from Jason Halterman, she’s made up for lost time with bold appearances and even bolder opinions. She’s not afraid of conflict, and that’s part of what makes her such a fan favorite.

She’s had plenty of explosive fights with Amy and Tammy, and even though the sisters clash often, Amanda draws a line when outsiders get involved. In Season 5, a vacation argument with Amy escalated to the point where it turned physical. Later, during season 6, Tammy declared Amanda was dead to her after a blow-up over a house dispute.

Despite the drama, Amanda’s popularity has only grown. Her fierce loyalty and unfiltered attitude make her one of the standout personalities on 1000-lb Sisters.

A new boyfriend is changing Amanda’s world

There’s a new man in Amanda’s life, and she’s not keeping it a secret. In January, Amanda shared a TikTok post revealing her relationship with Leonard E Moore. Since then, Leonard has been a regular fixture on Amanda’s social media.

The 1000-lb Sisters star seems happier with Leonard around, and fans have noticed. Whether he’s posing with Amanda or popping up in Instagram stories, Leonard seems to be settling into the chaos of the Slaton universe with ease.

Amanda has always worn her heart on her sleeve, and she isn’t shy about sharing this new chapter with her followers. It’s clear that this relationship is something she’s proud of, and it's added a fresh layer to her already dynamic storyline on 1000-lb Sisters.

Amanda becomes a grandmother for the first time

Amanda’s year got even brighter in May when she became a grandmother. She posted a photo of her first grandchild, Carter Lee Wayne Halterman, to Instagram with all the proud grandma energy one would expect.

“Carter Lee Wayne Halterman. 5-7-25 6lbs 15 ounces,”

Amanda wrote in the caption.

She added,

“Lolly didn’t get to spend a lot of time with Carter but I already know he has me wrapped around his little finger.”

"Lolly" is Amanda’s chosen grandma name, and it suits her spunky personality.

The 1000-lb Sisters cast often shares big family milestones on social media, but Amanda’s post stood out for how heartfelt it was. It’s clear this baby has already stolen her heart. And knowing Amanda, she’ll be just as fiercely protective of her grandchild as she is of her siblings.

She won’t let anyone come for her sisters

Even when Amanda is in the middle of a fight with her siblings, she’s still their fiercest defender. In January, she responded to an Instagram Q&A where someone criticized her sister and called her a clown. At the time, Amanda wasn’t on the best of terms with Tammy or Amy, but that didn’t stop her from speaking up.

Amanda may throw punches (sometimes literally) at her siblings, but she draws the line when others chime in. The 1000-lb Sisters star has made it clear that while family fights are one thing, outside negativity is another.

That kind of loyalty is why Amanda has become a fan favorite. Love her or hate her, she always shows up for her own, especially when someone else tries to tear them down.

1000-lb Sisters airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
