Ang Mutya ng Section E star Rabin Angeles stars in new Wattpad adaptation, Seducing Drake Palma 

If you loved Rabin Angeles as Yuri in Ang Mutya ng Section E, then gear up for an upcoming series adaptation of Seducing Drake Palma, a well-loved Wattpad story that later became a best-selling novel.

Studio Viva has shared the official teaser on its Instagram page, revealing the first look of Rabin Angles as the main character. As for the release date, Seducing Drake Palma will hit Viva One on June 15, 2025.

What is even more exciting about the series is that Angeles has taken on a whole new version of himself compared to Yuri. Per Cosmopolitan, the Filipino actor appeared at a press event on May 8, 2025, at Viva Cafe and shared insights about his role.

The actor originally shared his thoughts in Filipino, but here’s what he said translated into English for global viewers:

"You’ll see a different Rabin here. The character is very far from the one I played in Mutya ng Section E. Drake Palma is a much deeper person, even if he doesn’t speak much."

Anglese continued:

"This character carries a lot of emotional wounds. He’s going through so much on the inside."

Seducing Drake Palma is a widely read Wattpad romance novel that follows the emotional journey of a teenage girl named Alys Perez. She's a spirited and somewhat clumsy high school student who embarks on a daring mission to win over her aloof and intelligent classmate, Drake Palma.
