The Scrubs reboot is one of the most highly awaited shows of the year, and as the nostalgic show makes a comeback on TV, it's officially time to scrub back in. With a month to go for the reboot to hit screens, a broad new preview shared by People Magazine has given fans the revelation of key details from the upcoming show, and more about Zach Braff's return.
The preview confirms what longtime fans have already hoped for: The original gang is back at Sacred Heart, although things could not be more different.
The reboot brings back Zach Braff as John “J.D.” Dorian, Donald Faison as Christopher Turk, and Sarah Chalke as Elliot Reid, more than two decades since they were last seen on screen. However, the difference is that the hospital no longer belongs to him, and the power dynamics around the premises have drastically changed.
However, there are a few constants hanging around. J.D.’s reunion with his legendary mentor Dr. Perry Cox, played by John C. McGinley, brings back their signature dynamic. Meanwhile, Turk and J.D.’s iconic bromance lives on through a familiar hallway run, bringing back the nostalgia of watching them together in the original show.
