Yvette Nicole Brown is officially returning to her role as Principal Helen, as she is confirmed to star in the Victorious spinoff Hollywood Arts. The actress is known for her work on Community, and her growing filmography of TV shows.

She previously starred in Victorious as the principal of Hollywood Arts High School. She also had a recurring role as Helen on Drake & Josh, where she played the role of the manager of the Premiere Theater. Apart from that, Brown has worked on a number of shows, including That '70s Show, The Office, Boston Legal, Chuck, The Soul Man, Mom, and Big Shot. Her film credits include (500) Days of Summer, Tropic Thunder, Repo Men, and Avengers: Endgame.

The Victorious spinoff is currently officially under production, as talks of it have been around for a good couple of years. The highly anticipated show has currently started filming in Vancouver, and fans can expect the show to land on Netflix sometime around 2026.

The spin-off brings back Daniella Monet as Trina Vega, the ambitious actress fans would surely remember from the original series. Surprisingly, Trina is now stepping behind the desk as a substitute teacher at her alma mater, as she is all set to inspire a new generation of performing arts students while navigating her own career hurdles.

Speaking about her return, Monet told Tudum,

“Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do. Victorious was in a lot of ways life-changing for all of us. Our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can’t begin to describe.”

The actress is also serving as executive producer, making sure she is thoroughly involved with the show. Jake Farrow, who previously worked onVictorious and iCarly, is also signed on as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.

The series introduces an ensemble of fresh faces. Alyssa Miles known for Hanging Out With Alyssa and Xavier, Emmy Liu-Wang, known for Raven’s Home and Slumber Party, Peyton Jackson, known for Woman in the Yard and Young Dylan, Erika Swayze, known for School Spirits, Davey & Jonesie’s Locker and Workin’ Moms, and Martin Kamm, known for Unsung Hero and Web of Spiderman will join Monet in bringing Hollywood Arts High School to life.

As of now, more details are awaited as the series has just started filming and fans will surely be in the loop for updates. As of now, all the episodes and seasons of Victorious are available to stream on Netflix.
