With Daredevil Born Again Season 2 up and coming next year, the Marvel series is dropping a few bombs on the cast-list, plotlines and a lot more details. With recurring members of the show returning for the sequel season, another character is confirmed to make an appearance in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and it's none other than Matt Murdock's best friend Foggy Nelson.
Nelson is played by Elden Henson, who has been portraying the role since 2014's first series on the Marvel hero. Reprising his role in Daredevil: Born Again's first season, the actor is now returning for the second season as well, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
The outlet spoke to Marvel's executive producer Brad Winderbaum, who revealed quite a few details about the show's future. Speaking about Elden Henson's role in the series' second season, the producer said,
"I can tell you he is in season 2. People don't know what they're allowed to say and what they're not allowed to say, also. Do I play it coy? Do I be honest? It's always a dance."
On the show, Foggy Nelson is Murdock's best friend and his partner at the law firm. Starting off as law school classmates who later became friends, they eventually ended up opening their own firm in Hell's Kitchen. However, in the last season, Nelson was assassinated, which means there will be unexpected storytelling to explain his comeback.

Revealing more details about the new season's ties with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Winderbaum told Entertainment Weekly,
"We are communicating a lot with the team on Spider-Man: Brand New Day to make sure that there's coherence there. We don't want to spoil anything, but it very much exists in the same world and it is important. We're in a shared universe together.. It's similar. Everything lines up and the impacts are felt, but we're able to tell different stories."
Daredevil Born Again Season 2 will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic niverse's sixth phase. As of now, the show is reported to have eight episodes and is also confirmed to have a third season that will most likely premiere in 2027.
