The third and reportedly final season of Euphoria has wrapped up filming, and Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard on the show is giving fans an update about her character and what it's like to wrap up the third season.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on his show, Sweeney revealed that she wrapped up Euphoria Season 3 in November and that it was a "bittersweet" feeling as she added,
"I wrapped at the start of November. It was bittersweet. Because most of the crew I had worked with since I was 20. When I did the pilot. So every single time I go back I felt like I was going home and I was getting to see everybody. We worked for so long together, we've been filming since February."
When asked about what we can exoect from Cassie this season, the Christy actress had a short and cryptic answer: "self discovery." Reports have ensued that Sweeney's character will be engaged to Jacob Elordi's Nate Jacobs on the show, although no cinfirmation has come yet from HBO. Cassie's character is famously known for making a lot of bad decisions on the show, and Sweeney's answer lines up perfectly with what can only be a progress for her character.
More details about Euphoria Season 3
Season 3 of Euphoria has spent years getting delayed, but the good news is that the finish line is finally visible. After endless pauses caused by strikes, scheduling chaos, and the heartbreaking losses of Angus Cloud and executive producer Kevin Turen, the show is officially back in production. Cameras started rolling again in Los Angeles in February 2025, and by November, wrap party pics were already floating around the internet.
The season is set to drop in spring 2026. It was originally supposed to land in 2025, but HBO pushed the date after repeated delays. Still, both HBO and Sam Levinson insisted the show was moving forward and that the cast was free to take other gigs until filming began.
Zendaya is back as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Eric Dane as Cal, Alexa Demie as Maddie, and Colman Domingo will show up again too. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry are now full time cast members. Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Dominic Fike, Melvin Bonez Estes, Nika King, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, and Zak Steiner are also returning.
HBO has hinted this may be the last season, but nothing is confirmed. For now, all we know is that Season 3 is finally on its way, with more details expected soon about the plot, episodes and the show's probable future.
The first two seasons of Euphoria are streaming on HBO Max.
