Hopes for High Potential Season 3 are looking quite good as showrunner Todd Harthan is teasing what a potential third season of the show could look like. Currently the show is continuing it's sophomore run, with two more episodes left. Once the episodes are out, fans, of course will start looking forward to a new season, and Harthan is teasing that it will be "even more surprising."
Speaking to Deadline about a potential third season of the show, Harthan stated,
“I think that as we tumble towards our Season 2 penultimate, finale, I think the audience can look forward to just as satisfying, if not even more exhilarating push-off into a potential Season 3. What we’re plotting and planning, it has a different flavor than what we did last year, but I think it’s gonna be even more personal, even more propulsive, even more surprising than what we did in Season 1, because we’ve learned some things and the characters have gotten richer.”
More details about High Potential Season 2 and 3
The second season of High Potential premiered in September 2025 and has been going on for a while now with the last two episodes all set to drop this month. Expanding to eighteen episodes, the length gave the show more room to breathe and dig into character arcs, long running mysteries and Morgan Gillory's increasingly complicated life.
After a midseason break over the holidays, new episodes resumed in January 2026 with a slight schedule shuffle, now airing Tuesdays at 9 pm on ABC, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
The second season shows Morgan balancing motherhood with crime, although Roman's disappearance still looms around the corner. The Game Maker storyline pushes Morgan into darker territory, all the while testing her trust in people.
Harthan also teased what else will happen in the remaining two episodes of High Potential, as he told Deadline,
"We have some meaningful stories coming for Daphne and Oz. We have some incredible stuff coming for Soto, especially as it relates to the Roman investigation and her sort of running with that. I think we have some of our biggest and most exciting guest stars coming in the back half, and we’ve already had some incredible ones and we’ve got more coming."
As for the third season, there has not been any confirmation as of yet, but seeing the show's success and the showrunner's potential plans of a future, a third season renewal shouldn't be too surprising and too far.
High Potential is available to watch on ABC.
