Landman is finally getting a second season and some of the fan favorite characters of the drama are making a return, much to fans' excitement. Among those are Ali Larter and Michelle Randolph, who play Angela and Ainsley Norris on the show and over the course of the first season, have become two of the most popular characters on Landman.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, both the actresses opened up on what it's like to return for the new season as Larter old the outlet,
"The first season was incredibly challenging in so many ways... We all spent a tremendous amount of time together the first year figuring out the chemistry between everyone — how the family fit together, the different tones of the show, which there are so many. Once we understood who we were coming into the second season, we were just excited to be back with the cast and our crew."
Randolph then added how she felt excited and at the same time calmer to return for the sophomore run as she stated,
"I actually felt calmer going into season two. I was trying to figure out the show in season one — the tone, how my character fit in, my accent. There were so many things I was worried about. Then seeing how the show was received and how it all pieced together, I was really excited to go back and settle into the character. I still had my moments, but it was overall a better season for me."
More details about Landman
Landman arrived on Paramount Plus in November 2024 with the dusty swagger you would expect from a Taylor Sheridan creation, but this time the world he chose to explore was not the ranching frontier. It was the oil rich terrain of West Texas, where fortunes rise and fall faster than drilling rigs can strike earth. Sheridan and Christian Wallace built the series from Wallace’s podcast Boomtown, and Billy Bob Thornton stepped into the lead as Tommy Norris, a landman whose job sits at the crossroads of corporate power, local politics, and personal fallout.
The ensemble expands the world significantly. Michelle Randolph appears as Ainsley, Paulina Chavez as Ariana Medina, and Demi Moore plays Cami Miller, who eventually steps into ownership of M Tex Oil. Season one also featured Jon Hamm as Monty Miller, the longtime head of the company and a complicated presence in Tommy’s life.
By season two, which premiered in November 2025, Andy Garcia takes on a major role as Danny Gallino, the powerful head of an international cartel who presents himself publicly as a clean cut investor. The second season also introduces Sam Elliott as T. L. Norris, Tommy’s father.
Both the seasons of Landman are streaming on Paramount+.
