Fans might get to see a completely different version of Finn Wolfhard in the Stranger Things finale, as the actor is opening up on one major detail about Mike Wheeler in the coming episodes. Speaking about his character arc during a panel at Paley Museum in New York City, the actor revealed quite a few details about his character that fans will get to see in the coming seasons. One of which, Wolfhard revealed, is that Mike will get a weapon in the coming episodes, although he did not elaborate more.

Speaking to the panel, the actor said,

“Hey everybody, watch out! … I have a weapon in this season. That's all I'll say.”

It's unclear what this weapon could be, especially as Mike has always been shown as the strategic, emotionally intelligent anchor of the group. If anything, this shows that Mike's arc will be intense in the coming episodes, and we will definitely see a different version of him.

Wolfhard also let out a few details about his and Nancy Wheeler's bond this season, as he continued,

“There's something really special about Mike and Nancy's relationship...That's been in the DNA of the character that, no matter what, Nancy always kind of knows what's going on. And they're both kind of the same stand in for each other [in their respective friend groups]. I feel like Nancy is the Mike of her friend group.”

He then added that the second volume will have more scenes between the brother-sister duo, as both the actors specifically asked the Duffers to include them together.

“We wanted scenes together, and like we asked the Duffers — I think you guys were already planning on putting us together, but it was something that I think we really were wanting and it was the best. It was so fun."

The second volume of Stranger Things 5 includes four episodes, with three dropping on Christmas and one dropping on New Year's Eve. These episodes arrive after a brutal volume 1 that ended with Vecna abducting multiple children and declaring his plan to reshape the world using them as “perfect vessels.”

Will Byers remains the emotional and narrative center of the season. His psychic connection to Vecna deepens as the season explores how his abilities allow him to manipulate parts of the hive mind itself. This is a full circle moment to the first season, as Will was the first one who was abducted by Vecna. On the other hand, Max Mayfield and Holly Wheeler are stuck inside Vecna's memories, although teasers for the second volume suggest they will have more parts to play in the coming episodes.

The first volume of Stranger Things has already left fans with some major cliffhangers and haunting questions, which raises the stakes for the final episodes as Hawkins readies up for a final showdown.

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
