Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, will soon arrive on Disney+, and after a long wait, Marvel fans can get a sneak peek at this miniseries. The official poster and trailer have been released, and they hint at this Black Panther star's journey after playing her part in Wakanda Forever (2022). Here's the poster:
It presents Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a young girl from Chicago who will end up being the Ironheart, thanks to the armor she made to rival Tony Stark's.
The official poster shows her in a bright red backdrop with armor lurking over her. Its eyes are lit up like a demon. So, it almost feels like a ghost haunting her. Overall, it has a dark and mysterious vibe that the miniseries will potentially try to capture. The tagline reads,
"Every dream has a cost."
How is the first poster for Marvel's Ironheart? Here's what fans have to say
After the release of the first poster for Ironheart, the Marvel fan reactions started pouring in. Most of them are pleased with the poster and the trailer. In a Reddit thread, a user reveals that they love the "magic vs tech" angle from the trailer.
"I just saw the trailer and honestly I'm kinda excited now. The magic vs tech angle seems like it's gonna be cool to explore and I really like The Hood as a villain."
Another user speaks about the poster and its overall vibe.
"A cost? That deep red color and almost demonic-looking silhouette of her armor. I'll be the one to say it. It's giving Mephisto vibes."
One user points out that the strings of the armor look like they are attached to Riri Williams.
"Kinda looks like the suit is having strings attached to her."
Another user chimes in to reveal the potential inspiration behind the poster:
"Based Tetsuo: The Iron Man reference"
Then, a user mentions another possible reference point for this Marvel Television project.
"Disney made a horror movie in 1979 called The Black Hole that ends with the bad guy in Hell wearing a robot suit. It looked a lot like that."
Ironheart shows Ryan Coogler's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the Black Panther sequel, which he co-wrote and directed. The miniseries brings Dominique Thorne back to the MCU, who earlier starred in Coogler's 2022 film. In addition to her, the cast also includes Anthony Ramos (Twisters, In the Heights) and Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Cocaine Bear).
Ironheart is scheduled for a 3-episode premiere, exclusively on June 24, 2025, on Disney+. It will be available from 6 pm PT/9 pm ET onwards.
