Peta Murgatroyd is confident her family is complete.

The Dancing With the Stars pro and her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, also a pro on the series, share sons Shai, 8, Rio, almost 2 years old, and Milan, 11 months. And while Chmerkovskiy would love to be a “girl dad” one day, Murgatroyd thinks her family is complete.

Speaking with Us Weekly while promoting her Peta Jane Beauty, a self-tanning line, the 38-year-old revealed that she “would feel guilty” if she had another kid:

“I think it’s fair to say [I’m done], yeah. I think my body, just doing the back-to-back with the two babies, it was a lot — not just physically, but mentally.”

Will Peta Murgatroyd make a comeback on Dancing with the Stars? Here's what we know

As reported by the outlet, Peta Murgatroyd has long been vocal about her struggles with infertility. After she welcomed her first child in 2017, she suffered three miscarriages in 3 years. Following a course of IVF treatments, they welcomed their second child, Rio, in June 2023, though four months later, they found out they were expecting once again.

“I want to be able to give my all to my children and I feel like, right now, I’m struggling to do that with three,” Murgatroyd told Us Weekly. “I don’t know how to cut myself into three pieces and give it all to them like I did for Shai for six years. He was by himself with us and he got everything of us, and I almost feel guilty that now I’ve got two younger ones and I need to split my time with everybody and they’re not getting what I gave Shai. You know, it’s just physically impossible. It just cannot happen that way. Shai was an only child for six years, so he got a lot of us and if I had one more, I would feel guilty that I’m just not being a good enough mom to them all.”

Peta Murgatroyd also said her youngest children are very clingy at this age, and she feels a bit outnumbered:

“And now Rio, my middle child, only wants me to hold him,” she added. “If I’m in the room, it’s only me. So we’re trying to just slowly massage this out of him a little bit [because] I have to go to work, I have to drop Shai at school. Like today, he’s crying in the morning because I have to leave to drop Shai to school. It’s just, it’s how it is. I can’t be everywhere at once.”

The two-time champion of Dancing With The Stars cum dance teacher revealed last August that she would be taking a step back from the show after she gave birth to her third son, Milan. During an Instagram live at the time, she said ahead of season 33:

"In terms of me, Dancing With the Stars, guys, I'm sorry, it's not this season." She added, "It's just too soon."

Peta Murgatroyd first joined the series in 2011 as part of its dance troupe in season 12, though by the following season, she became a pro. In the years since then, she won the Mirror Ball trophy twice. The first time was in season 14, with Donald Driver as her partner, and the second was in season 22, with Nyle DiMarco.

During her recent interview with Us Weekly, Peta Murgatroyd expressed high hopes for returning to the series next season if she's asked to join again, though she did say her son, Shai, noticed that his parents were around a lot more in recent months:

“He’s a really sensitive child so he definitely feels everything and does feel, I don’t want to say the loss of me, but having me solely on him for six years. I think that he did really feel that, especially when Milan was born. Having three and having to adjust to a 1-year-old and then a fresh newborn baby that I was up all night with, as well. It was really tough on him in the beginning, and now it’s much easier. I think now he definitely understands more,” Muragtroyd explained.

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have been together for more than 10 years now. They initially broke up but chose to reconcile eventually. During a February episode of the Amy and T.J. podcast, Chmerkovskiy said there's one thing he and his wife steer clear of: it's uttering the word "divorce."

When host Amy Robach asked him if they'd ever threatened to or talked about breaking up, Peta Murgatroyd said:

“God, no. I think if that happened, like those words, like, ‘I feel like we’re gonna get divorced,’ or something like that… Oh my God, no. That would almost put a seed into our heads that that was gonna happen in the future.” Chmerkovskiy added, “Obviously it’s not gonna happen. No, I think it’s too late for us at this point."
