Gary Oldman will be back with his wry British humor in the Slow Horses Season 5, as Apple TV+ reveals the official trailer. It takes us through some crucial moments in the life of Oldman's character Jackson Lamb, who feels like the wise-guy figures from yesteryears put in the body of the deceptively simple bosses from investigative shows.

At a particular moment, the trailer shows Lamb telling the MI5 deputy director, Diana Taverner, this thing when she arrives at his Slough House office,

“I am absolutely killing it right now.”

It cleverly sets up an overall tone for the latest season of the show that will map out a brand new chapter in the lives of these players from the Slough House. The team is always up for any kind of task, no matter the risks involved in it, but this time, it seems even more challenging as the once-teammates may not see eye to eye on some topics.

Apple TV+ has just released the trailer for Slow Horses Season 5, and its logline reads,

"A compromised agent, a destabilized London, and a can of paint."

They further explain a few more details about the upcoming season through a brief plot synopsis, saying,

"This quick-witted spy drama follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents—and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb—as they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces."

The trailer shows the spies from the Slough House seemingly being destabilized by Diana in her investigation, which is somehow connected to Danny Ho. In a usual Jackson Lamb fashion, Jackson does everything to get out of what seems to be an involuntary custody, until Diana's team figures out what's going on with some "sinister forces."

The clip uses the classic from English indie rock band The Kooks, titled It Was London, in the backdrop as it shows a yet-unknown crisis in front of its familiar Slough House characters. Fans must be already familiar with its source material, Mick Herron's novel series, Slough House, but for those who don't know, it's one worth your time and patience.
