A few days ago, it was announced that Emily in Paris Season 5 would go into production soon, but without a key cast member. Camille Razat, who played Camille, Gabriel's on-and-off girlfriend, is not returning for season 5. Camille remained an integral part of the storyline across all the previous installments, acting as an obstacle in the romance between Emily and Gabriel.
Razat has now talked about her exit ahead of Emily in Paris Season 5, revealing that she made the decision because she felt her character’s journey had reached a conclusion and she wanted to pursue other opportunities as an actress. She said in an interview with TVLine:
“After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris. It has been a truly wonderful experience — one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

Camille Razat further thanked the Emily in Paris creators for giving her the opportunity to play Camille and added that though she is not a part of season 5, there is still scope for her character to return in the future:
“I’m deeply grateful to Darren Star and the entire team at Netflix and Paramount for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily in Paris world.”
Talking about how she is looking forward to exploring new projects in her career, Razat said:
“This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons.”
Though Razat has exited the hit romantic comedy, she has some exciting projects in the pipeline. The actress will next be seen in the films Waltzing with Brando and The Lost Station Girls, along with the Disney+ series Les Disparues de la Gare and the Netflix show Nero.
Meanwhile, Emily in Paris Season 5 will bring back the rest of the main cast members, including Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie. The new installment will continue the story of the titular marketing executive, who has found a new love interest, Marcello, in Rome, while Gabriel is on his way to win her back.
The season will commence filming in Rome in May 2025 and later move production to Paris. The rest of the returning cast members include Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, and William Abadie as Antoine Lambert.
Emily in Paris Season 5 is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2025.
