We're getting closer to Halloween, and even closer to the premiere of It: Welcome to Derry, one of the most horrifying shows of the year. The show is set to be released on October 26, 2025, and a new trailer has been released, giving us a further look into the dark and twisted history of Derry, Maine.
The trailer opens with children playing and one boy discovering a toy plane, and throwing it in the air. That toy plane ends up in a tunnel, and tunnels are notoriously associated with none other than Pennywise the Clown. This new trailer of It: Welcome To Derry brings back Pennywise the Clown and horrors no one in Derry had ever imagined they would see.
Pennywise the Clown returns in the new It: Welcome To Derry trailer right before the HBO Max premiere
Other than the way Pennywise the Clown shows up unexpectedly, multiple times in the new trailer, the creepy song sung by a little boy in the background serves as a warning for what's to come. As the new It: Welcome To Derry trailer begins and then proceeds, a creepy song plays in the background, which goes like,
All of the tunnels are underground
Where none of the children will ever be found
They wandered away to join the show
And lost their way in the world below...
What follows is a short insight into the hell the people of Derry will be going through in It: Welcome To Derry. The new trailer shows us a group of children from Derry going inside a tunnel because they suspect it has something to do with the missing children. We also see a team of military officers go through a burnt and abandoned house. They discover a well, and from the looks of it, it might have something to do with the tunnel.

One of the officers comes face-to-face with a terrifying creature who is kind of like a clown, but doesn't look like Pennywise. The trailer also shows us how everyone in the town is either scared or partially the cause of that fear. The eery song starts up again, and it now goes like,
They joined the circus and left the town
Now they live here, down with the clown
All of this, along with graphic visuals of tortured people, witnesses of something unimaginable, and the creepy presence of Pennywise the Clown, makes this trailer as chilling as one would expect. It is best for everyone in Derry if they run away from this dark place, as the trailer's description says,
Run
No one is safe in Derry, and we'll find out why when It: Welcome To Derry premieres on HBO Max on October 26, 2025.
