Wednesday fans, brace yourselves: Netflix has released the first official poster for Season 2, Part 2, and it’s dripping in gothic vibes. Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday is inside a coffin, arms crossed with a deathly stare, as Thing lingers around the coffin. The split season returns with four final episodes dropping on September 3, 2025, following Part 1’s August 6 debut.

Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar promise the stakes are higher than ever, especially after that midseason cliffhanger in which Wednesday’s fate looked bleak. Expect even more chaotic charm, spooky twists, and Tim Burton’s signature flair. If this poster is anything to go by, the second half of Season 2 is set to bring more mess, more mayhem, and a whole lot more Wednesday attitude.

Talking about the latest part, the creators told Entertainment Weekly,

"We were very focused on making sure the season was compelling and didn't want to get complacent or rest on our haunches in terms of really wanting it to be bigger and better than season 1."

Netflix’s Wednesday has officially returned for a second season, marking what the creators are calling the “Summer of Woe.” Part 1, now streaming with four episodes, will be followed by Part 2 on September 3. This season finds Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday back in the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, facing a darker, more unpredictable year. Co-showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar hint that despite Wednesday believing she knows the school inside out, “nothing is what it seems” and control quickly slips from her grasp.

Talking about the season, Millar tells Tudum,

"Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”

The new chapter blurs and brutally shatters the line between Wednesday’s school life and her family. Her younger brother, Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) joins Nevermore, bringing electrokinesis and an outsider’s awkwardness. Meanwhile, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán) spend more time on campus, reigniting Wednesday’s complicated relationship with her mother.

Season 2 also introduces Morticia’s formidable mother, Hester Frump, Grandmama to Wednesday, portrayed by Joanna Lumley. Unlike most family members, Grandmama elicits genuine warmth from Wednesday, making her a rare source of joy alongside Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen). Lumley praises Tim Burton’s gothic yet playful vision, calling the Nevermore world “bone-chilling but thrilling.”

With new mysteries, expanded family dynamics, and returning favorites from the Addams clan, this season promises sharper wit, deeper drama, and plenty of supernatural intrigue. Part 1 is streaming now, and the final four episodes arrive September 3.
