"Never, ever disappoints me" – The Voice coach Reba praises Danny's finale performance of "Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma"

Part 1 of The Voice's two-day live finale aired on NBC on Dec 09. The final five performed live before the studio audience. Shye, Sofronio Vasquez, Danny Joseph, Jeremy Boloare, and Sydney Sterlace performed in two rounds - a ballet and an uptempo.

Danny Joseph picked Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma and Back to Black. Shye sang One of Us and Falling. Sofronio decided to sing Unstoppable and A Million Dreams for his last two performances. I Love You, I’m Sorry and Chasing Cars were picked by Sydney Sterlace. And finally, Jeremy performed his renditions of What the World Needs Now and Dancing on My Own.


Danny Joseph's Round 1 performance on The Voice Live Finale Part 1

The finale night began with Team Reba's Danny Joseph's first performance. He sang Ain't No Love in Oklahoma by Luke Combs. The judges were impressed by his performance. Gwen complimented Danny's energy on stage and said,

"Wow! me...I mean...Oh my Gosh! That's the way to do the finale, right there? I think you know...I...I...from the very beginning it's really hard to have it all, right? The guitar, the cuteness, the coolness, the weirdness, the outfit...I mean...and on top of it the voice and that last note, that is where I'm like okay...now...okay yeah he's amazing."

Following Gwen, Reba couldn't hold her emotions for her mentee and said,

"I was just so thrilled. I'm...I'm like a proud parent and I am so proud of you. You've done so well during this whole competition. You never, ever disappoint me and you haven't disappointed today."

Danny Joseph's Round 2 performance on The Voice Live Finale Part 1

For round 2 - the Uptempo number, Danny Joseph decided to perform Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. His second and last performance this season left the entire audience roaring.

Snoop Dogg was taken aback by his twist in the original song,

"Shout out to the violinist and the way that you sung that, Amy Winehouse song, I love the way you always put a twist on records and you use your own vocals and your...you are a superstar Danny. It's a pleasure watching you perform Man!"
"Danny that was great, you look great. I love the way you play the guitar, that was so cool...a different sound from before what we've heard from you. You did a great job. I'm very proud with for you and I think America should just go ahead and give it to you."

Complimented Danny's coach, Reba McEntire, and begged America to vote for Danny.
