Nicole Beharie is the latest star to join Netflix's upcoming thriller drama series, All The Sinners Bleed, alongside Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù and John Douglas Thompson.
The show will serve as an adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s 2023 novel of the same name, which centres around an African American sheriff investigating the case of a serial killer.
In a previous report, Netflix's Tudum shared what the show will be about. The logline for the show reads:
"Haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer who has quietly been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God."
The show, based on the southern noir novel, will see Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù playing the sheriff, Titus Crown, while Nicole Beharie will play his supportive girlfriend, Darlene Taylor. They will be joined by John Douglas Thompson, who will be playing Titus' father, Albert. In an earlier discussion with Tudum, Thompson shared his excitement about this project, saying:
"I was attracted to All the Sinners Bleed for its undeniable singularity. There is a depth and authenticity to this story that I am excited to explore and bring to life. As it relates to The Gilded Age, there is fun and fascination in playing patriarchs from two different centuries.”
