The second season of Paradise is receiving much hype from the show's creators, further inviting anticipation from fans who have waited for its sophomore run. Showrunner Dan Fogelman has hinted that the story will expand further with darker twists, pushing the characters into uncharted territory. The first season of the political drama followed Xavier Collins as he uncovered secrets related to the President's death. With the second season, the stakes are higher, and Fogelman promises the new season will blow fans away.

Speaking to Collider, Fogelman spoke about the second season and said,

“I’m really excited about it. I’m proud of it. It’s a cool second season in that it expands on the world of our show. I always said the show can never just give more of the same thing because the thing we did in the first season, those stories have been answered. The big mysteries were who killed James Marsden, and on a very clinical level, it was a murder mystery, and that was answered."

Not just that. Fans can already start looking forward to the show's third season, as the showrunner added that the season finale will be surprising and will raise the stakes even higher for the third season. Continuing, he added,

“I think they're going to say, 'What the fuck is going to happen in Season 3?' I think they're going to have a very interesting view of Sinatra and that character at the end of the second season. I think they're going to be surprised by the events of the second season in the finale. Hopefully, it has people going, ‘How quickly can you get Season 3 out?’ I think Shailene Woodley is going to knock people over.”

Paradise season 2 is coming in hot, and with how the first season performed, it was not surprising at all. Season 2 will follow Xavier as he ventures out into the world, discovering how people survived three years without Paradise’s planning and protection. Sterling teased that he meets groups who are kind, dangerous, and everything in between.

But the show doesn’t abandon the bunker. After the chaos involving Sinatra and Jane, the internal power structure starts to crack. Sinatra survives her attack, though she’s vulnerable for the first time, and the vacuum she leaves behind makes everyone uneasy.

Dan Fogelman calls this season his Empire Strikes Back moment, saying it flips the audience’s understanding of Paradise. A teaser released recently showed Xavier surviving a plane crash with a broken leg and pushing into a world full of snow, wrecked cars, and unsettling quiet. Inside the bunker, Sinatra warns that Paradise was never only about the bunker.

The first three episodes of Paradise Season 2 premiere on Hulu on February 23, 2026, with new episodes releasing weekly.
