Here's everything we know about the new cast addition to the Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie.
Cast addition to Spider-Man: Brand New Day: Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear

The upcoming superhero film from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, slated for release in July 2026, has added a new cast member to its growing list of star-studded actors. The new addition is a star from the critically acclaimed FX series, The Bear, which is gearing up for its fourth season as well.
According to reports from Deadline, Liza Colón-Zayas, a Primetime Emmy winner, who played Tina in the show, has been added to the cast list for the next Marvel Spider-Man movie. As of now, there are no details regarding the role she will be playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as the movie is keeping all the details regarding the upcoming movie tightly clutched, not revealing anything.
Liza will be joining the cast along with Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker, Zendaya, who plays MJ, Peter's long-time girlfriend, and Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter's best friend, Ned. It was also revealed that the Stranger Things actor Sadie Sink will also be joining the cast alongside the previously mentioned actors.
The last Spider-Man movie, titled Spider-Man: No Way Home, was released in 2021 and was a big success at the box office, grossing almost $2 million worldwide. Before No Way Home, two movies, namely Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), made up the Spider-Man franchise.

All three of these movies were directed by Jon Watts, but the fourth movie in this franchise will be directed by Daniel Cretton. Daniel Cretton has also directed another movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Another difference in the fourth movie of the franchise is that the title Spider-Man: Brand New Day does not feature the word 'Home' in its title, unlike the other three. This might have some connection to the fact that the last time we saw Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, everybody had forgotten about Peter's existence, as per Peter's request to Doctor Strange in an attempt to save the multiverse.
In an extremely emotional post-credit scene, we see Peter visiting MJ's workplace to remind her about his existence, as he promised her he would, and choosing not to tell her anything in an attempt to protect her from the burdens of being Spider-Man's girlfriend.
It will be exciting to see how this new cast addition plays out in the fourth film of the Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
