TV personality and “Queen of Clean,” Kim Woodburn, is no more. She died at the age of 83 due to an illness. In a statement to the BBC, her manager said:

“It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person.”

The statement went on:

“Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.”

Her manager mentioned that more details about her death won’t be released. Kim Woodburn is best known for her British TV program How Clean Is Your House? from 2003 to 2009, which she ran alongside professional cleaner Aggie MacKenzie.

Besides, she was also seen in Celebrity Big Brother in 2017. According to The Guardian, TV personality Lizzie Cundie shared a statement following Woodburn’s death, saying:

“Very sad to hear Kim Woodburn has passed away. We had many fun times on the Big Brother Bit on the side show, such a character and she always said what she thought! A ball of energy that will be very much missed.”

Kim’s husband, Peter, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram with a video showing snippets from her life. The post was captioned:

“My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love, xx xx.”

In the previous post, it was mentioned that she was unable to record videos due to her health problems. The caption noted:

“No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!”

What did Aggie MacKenzie say about her fallout with Kim Woodburn?

According to The Independent, Kim Woodburn had a difficult time with Aggie MacKenzie. In 2003, the latter looked back on their working relationship and said they were different in personality.

She felt that the tension between them brought a certain energy to their on-screen dynamic. According to her, Woodburn seemed more comfortable when there was conflict, while MacKenzie preferred a more relaxed and easygoing environment.

In 2018, Kim Woodburn sat down with The Guide Liverpool, where she reflected on her time in Big Brother. She said:

“When I did Big Brother, that really what kicked it off and I was very angry all the time. I was angry, I was being treated badly and I was being ganged up on I don't like that.”

She went on:

“I think it cowardice and dreadful so when I was in the Big Brother, and they were ganging up on me I was getting myself festering in temper and I just sprayed it really I was annoyed at the cowardice of them.”

Kim Woodburn shared that many people found the things she said funny, even though she didn’t always mean them that way. She admitted she had a reputation for making sharp remarks.

She also spoke about growing up with little money and how that shaped her. At 76, she felt content with what she had, like some savings, no debts, and a loving husband, and said she no longer needed to rely on television work for anything.
