Nice to Not Meet You Episode 16 recap: Hyeon-jun and Jeong-sin face their toughest challenge

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 16 perfectly captures the storylines together. From the beginning of the series, the unique dynamic between Jeong-sin and Hyeon-jun captured the hearts of the viewers.

In episode 16, things definitely take a complex turn for their relationship. This is especially after the events of the fifteenth episode, where Hyeon-jun and Jeong-sin were preparing to bring Dae-ho’s crimes to light.

Hyeon-jun and Jeong-sin's toughest challenge in Nice to Not Meet You Episode 16

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 16 begins with Jeong-sin, Hyeon-jun, Hwa-young, and Jae-hyung preparing for the final showdown to expose Dae-ho. Despite being close to Dae-ho, Jae-hyung decides to side with the truth. He helps Hwa-young and Jeong-sin with the article to expose Dae-ho. On the other hand, Hyeon-jun prepares for a live telecast.

In this telecast, he will be speaking about the things he and the company suffered because of Dae-ho. During the live telecast, Hyeon-jun and Se-na begin the discussion. Before Se-na is able to speak, Hyeon-jun brings Jeong-sin out. He then exposes Dae-ha’s money laundering and the other things that he has been doing.

Jeong-sin also exposes the whole truth about Dae-ho in front of the live telecast. They are able to successfully expose Dae-ho to the world. After the live telecast, Dae-ho’s life begins to crumble. He gets questioned by the news outlets and even gets called for interrogation.

As this episode of Nice to Not Meet You progresses, things do not turn out well for Jeong-sin and Hyeon-jun’s relationship. Though the two of them expose the truth about Dae-ho, the media begin to shift the focus to Hyeon-jun’s relationship. They begin to question whether Hyeon-jun did all of this for Jeong-sin, as in the previous episode, he revealed his feelings for someone.

Jeong-sin’s colleagues also begin to question the situation, which Jeong-sin overhears. She understands that if she is not able to divert their focus from her and Hyeon-jun’s relationship, Dae-ho’s truth will get buried, and he will not get the consequences of his actions.

Jeong-sin then decides to go to Seria for a job so that the media understands that Hyeon-jun did not do it all for her. She calls Hyeon-jun to spend quality time together. They visit a convenience store, eat ramen, and have a great time. Jeong-sin then tells Hyeon-jun about her decision to go to Seria. Hyeon-jun is completely astonished by hearing Jeong-sin’s decision. He gets angry and tells Jeong-sin not to contact him.

Episode 16 of Nice to Not Meet You continues with both Jeong-sin and Hyeon-jun suffering. The choices they made begin to affect them. Hyeon-jun then decides to apologize to her. They decide to reconcile. Hyeon-jun tells Jeong-sin that he will wait for her return. The next day, Hyeon-jun prepares for the final filming day. Jeong-sin, on the other hand, prepares to leave for her new job in Seria. The last day of filming ended successfully.

Jeong-sin’s article is also published at the same time, bringing success to her plan to bring down Dae-ho. Towards the end of this episode of Nice to Not Meet You, Hyeon-jun begins to reminisce about the time he spent with Jeong-sin. He goes through their pictures. He even visits the places they frequented together. Jeong-sin also prepares to return from Seria.

Hyeon-jun’s career also takes a positive turn as he gets selected as the final candidate for a new role. At the end of this episode of Nice to Not Meet You, Jeong-sin returns from Seria and meets Hyeon-jun. They finally accept the feelings they have for each other without hiding them from the public. Byeong-gi decides to make a movie on Hyeon-jun’s story of meeting Jeong-sin, which Hyeon-jun and Jeong-sin visit the theater to watch.
