Nice to Not Meet You Episodes 5-6 recap: Jeong-sin's strive for success and Hyun-joon's rice cooker catastrophe

Nice to Not Meet You is definitely catching up the pace, leaving the viewers with a distinct level of anticipation. In the fourth episode of Nice to Not Meet You, Hyun-joon finds himself in a difficult situation because of Se-na.

On the other hand, Jeong-sin and Hyun-joon also begin to grow a bit closer after the incident with Hyun-joon’s mother. The stage is all set for more of the intriguing storylines that arrive in the fifth and sixth episodes of Nice to Not Meet You.

Jeong-sin's strive for success and Hyun-joon's rice cooker catastrophe in Nice to Not Meet You Episodes 5 and 6

Episode 5 of Nice to Not Meet You begins where things are left off in the fourth episode. Se-na whispers in Hyun-joon’s ear that she will be getting half his pay for Pil-gu, and she is also joining the case. It completely baffles Hyun-joon. Se-na then takes Hyun-joon inside to speak with the other team members of Pil-gu. Later, Hyun-joon opens up about his anger because of Se-na to Mr. Hwang.

He also tries to refuse to work with Se-na; however, Se-na completely shifts the narrative by telling everyone that she wants to date Hyun-joon. On the other hand, Jeong-sin interviews an actor who completely irritates her. The scene cuts back to Hyun-joon. He speaks to Se-na about the new turn of events. He tries to make her drop out of the project, but Se-na is adamant about winning Hyun-joon back.

After being completely devastated by finding no other choice than to work with Se-na on the project, Hyun-joon begins reminiscing about his date with Jeong-sin. It can be understood that she left quite an impact on his mind. He also tells Mr. Hwang about the demands he has for working with Se-na.

At the baseball game, where Hyun-joon is supposed to play the first pitch, things get complicated because of Jeong-sin. While Hyun-joon is practicing for his pitch, Jae-hyeong arrives. He begins to give him some tips for the game. Jeong-sin is supposed to cover the baseball game.

She arrives where Hyun-joon is practicing. Seeing Jeong-sin’s friendly behavior towards Jae-hyeong, Hyun-joon gets uncomfortable. It is reflected during his interview with Jeong-sin. He does not give proper answers to her questions. Jeong-sin gets disappointed and leaves.

Hyun-joon’s game goes well. After he returns home, he gets another panic attack because of his neighbors. He goes to the psychiatrist and speaks about his panic attack. His psychiatrist tells him that dating someone who reciprocates his feelings could help him control these panic attacks to some extent. So, he decides to go on some dates; however, none of the dates are impressive. Back at home, his brother asks him if he could sell the rice cookers that he promotes.

Hyun-joon agrees and uses his phone to open the account to sell the rice cookers. As the episode of Nice to Not Meet You continues, Hyun-joon goes to have dinner that Mr. Hwang and Jeong-sin were supposed to have. However, Mr. Hwang had to leave early. Jeong-sin and Hyun-joon decide to go eat ramyeon beside the river.

They begin to speak about the fifth season of Pil-gu. Their conversation soon ends when Hyun-joon begins to apologize for misbehaving with her. This episode of Nice to Not Meet You ends with Hyun-joon going to meet the rice cooker buyer. He hides his face so that people are not able to recognize him. It is then revealed that the buyer is none other than Jeong-sin.

Episode 6 of Nice to Not Meet You begins with showing Jeong-sin’s side of the story of her buying the rice cooker. Hyun-joon begins to think about his conversation with the rice cooker buyer, not knowing that it is Jeong-sin. They begin to speak about their love for Pil-gu. The next day, Jeong-sin also begins to daydream about Hyun-joon while she is at work.

Jeon-sin discusses starting a dating rumor of Se-na to Hwa-young. She calls Se-na so that she can get an interview with her, but she rejects it. To get Se-na’s attention, Jeong-sin decides to write a report on her, which goes viral. Se-na reaches out to Jeong-sin for an interview, where they discuss her dating life. Se-na tells her about her interest in Hyun-joon. Jeong-sin gets completely worked up hearing Se-na’s words.

After returning home, Jeong-sin begins to talk with the rice cooker seller. Their conversation gets more and more interesting. Neither of them knows the other’s true identity, yet the conversation becomes an interesting part of their day. The next day, while diving into the scandal of the psychiatrist, Jeong-sin reaches the psychiatrist’s office.

This is the same psychiatrist that Hyun-joon goes to. They come across one another once again. This causes Hyun-joon to think that she is following him. They end up having a heated conversation when Jeong-sin notices the car of the person she is searching for and hears about the dating rumor. She forces Hyun-joon to follow the car. Jeong-sin is finally able to get the pictures that she could use for her article because of Hyun-joon’s help.

However, they end up having a quarrel because of the way she behaved with him. Jeon-sin begins to feel disappointed with the type of work she is doing and decides to quit her job. Her colleagues throw a farewell party for her at the end of the sixth episode of Nice to Not Meet You.

Jeong-sin begins to drink quite a lot. On the other hand, Hyun-joon keeps on waiting for the texts from the rice cooker buyer. Jeong-sin also gets sued by the actor whose dating rumors she spread. Things definitely get much more complicated for Jeong-sin at the end of the episode.
