Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 release schedule: When do new episodes of the Hulu series drop?

For four years, fans have been awaiting the release of Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2. The wait is finally going to end soon as the new season of the mystery thriller arrives on Hulu on May 21, 2025.

The show premiered in 2021 as a limited series and became the most-watched Hulu original program. Due to the overwhelming response, the makers decided to turn it into an anthology format and renewed the show for a second season in 2023.

Nicole Kidman is now set to return with nine new guests who attend a wellness retreat. Unlike some other Hulu shows, this series does not drop all episodes at once. Here is all you need to know about the Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 release schedule.

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 release schedule

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 is going to comprise eight episodes, keeping up with the previous installment. The first two episodes, Zauberwald and Jessie, will be released on the premiere day on May 21, 2025.

The show will then start following a weekly broadcast schedule and air one episode every Wednesday until the finale, Batsh*t, which is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2025. Here is the complete release schedule of Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2:

What is Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 about?

In the new season, Masha Dmitrichenko, the founder of the Tranquillum House wellness resort, takes her retreat to the Austrian Alps, where nine strangers arrive for 10 days of relaxation and awakening. However, little do they know that they are going to be caught up in a web of deceit.

The first season was based on Liane Moriarty’s eponymous novel. Since there is no source material for the second season, the showrunners, David E. Kelley and John-Henry Butterworth, likely came up with an original storyline. The official synopsis for the show reads:

“Nine Perfect Strangers takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living.”

“Watching over them during this 10-day retreat is the resort's director, Masha, a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.”

The second season marks the return of Nicole Kidman as Masha Dmitrichenko. The new cast members include Murray Bartlett as Brian, Dolly de Leon as Agnes, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Wolfie, Annie Murphy as Imogen, Christine Baranski as Victoria, and King Princess as Tina.

The cast also includes Lucas Englander as Martin, Mark Strong as David, Aras Aydın as Matteo, Lena Olin as Helena, and Henry Golding as Peter. The new season was shot in the Swiss Alps and Munich from January to June 2024.
