The storyline of Nine to Six is actually based on a Chinese drama named The Rational Life. The storyline of The Rational Life dives into the life of a woman in her 30s. Her life is completely focused on her work and achieving her goals. For her, love is not at the top of her priority list. Her life is extremely busy with her work and everything around it, causing her to get exhausted.

However, her life takes a distinct turn after she comes across love in the most unexpected manner. The storyline of Nine to Six will also have similar tones to this Chinese series. In Nine to Six, Park Min Young’s supposed role, Kang Yi Ji, heads a legal team. Her life completely revolves around her work, causing her to lose interest in having a relationship.

One word to describe Yi Ji is workaholic. On the other hand, Yook Sungjae would supposedly be taking on the role of “Han Seon Woo” in Nine to Six if he joins the series. Han Seon Woo, unlike Yi Ji, does not only focus on work but also thinks that taking life in an easy manner is far better. He has a background in the legal world but works as a jewelry designer with extensive skills.

These projects resonate with a deep impact. Similarly, some of Yook Sungjae's projects, such as Goblin, Mystic Pop-up Bar, Dae Jang Geum Is Watching, etc., also bring forth an authentic depiction of the characters. He always adds a layer of realism.

Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae's contributions to this upcoming K-drama, if they accept the project, would definitely be a great opportunity to explore the unique storyline that this K-drama comes with. This office romance will be directed by Lee Hyung Min. He is already an expert in this field with his projects such as Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and many more.
