Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby is the king of iconic scenes and one-liners in the BBC crime series Peaky Blinders, but none has come close to his "No f***ing fighting" scene from the Season 3 premiere.

This iconic scene became a viral sensation on social media when it was first aired, and Cillian Murphy's meme is still used in hilarious situations to this day.

Murphy's nuanced performance and his just-around-the-edge acting elevated this simple scene to new heights, and it is now for the books.

In the Season 3 premiere, during Tommy's wedding ceremony with Grace, he rounds up all the Peaky Blinders and instructs them:

"No f***ing fighting!"

Since Grace's family is in the English cavalry and the Peaky boys practically hated them, it was important for Tommy to give his brothers a lesson for Grace's sake. Tommy's new bride wanted no chaos on her wedding day, and he made sure with this scene.

More on Peaky Blinders' iconic scene in our story.

No f***ing fighting from Peaky Blinders Season 3 became an iconic scene

After a tumultuous relationship, Tommy is finally getting married to Grace in the Peaky Blinders Season 3 premiere, and he wants nothing to go wrong on his wedding day.

Knowing the hostility between the Peaky Blinders and Grace's family (British Army), he knows it is about time that his brothers erupt in chaos.

While Grace is sophisticatedly attending to her polished guests in the hall, Tommy rounds up all the Peaky boys in the back of the kitchen and firmly instructs them:

"Today is my f***ing wedding day. Despite the bad blood, I'll have none of it on my carpet. For Grace's sake, nothing will go wrong. Those b*st*rds out there, are our family and if you do anything to embarrass her, your kin, your cousins, your horses your kids, you do anything..."

He continues:

"No c*ca*ne. No sport. No telling fortunes. No racing. No sucking petrol out of their cars...But the main thing is, despite the provocation from the cavalry, NO FIGHTING!"

What's hilarious about this otherwise intense scene is that despite Tommy giving this angry lesson to his brothers, they are standing completely unfazed and unbothered. We know that they are incapable of change and will likely erupt into fighting the moment they get a chance.

All the Peaky Blinders, especially Arthur, show extreme aggression throughout the series, which makes this scene even more intense and funny at the same time.

While the makers intended it for a serious scene, it became a meme on social media platforms and also became increasingly popular.

In an interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Cillian Murphy discussed the BTS behind this iconic scene, after the host reveals that it has blown up on the Internet:

"I remember there was a stage direction in that scene and it said 'this is the angriest we've ever seen Tommy Shelby'. It gives you license to go, let's go for it... it was funny but he [Tommy] also meant it..."

While the Peaky Blinders' scene is undoubtedly funny, it also highlights how worked up Tommy was on his wedding day. After two seasons of dodging bullets and having a near-death experience, he is finally having a second chance at life with the woman he loves.

Tommy's intensity and anger suggest the importance of Grace in his life, as he, too, hates the cavalry (like his brothers), but he is open to becoming a changed man for Grace.
