No One Saw Us Leave is a Netflix thriller show that was released on October 15, 2025. It follows a young mother, Valeria, in 1960s Mexico, whose children get kidnapped by their father, Leo Saltzman. Valeria then does everything in her power to look for her children and reunite with them.
The show is based on a book based on a real story by Tamara Trottner. Trottner and her brother were kidnapped by their father, and their mother went on a journey to find them again. No One Saw Us Leave is set in Mexico, but the story eventually spreads out in Europe, as we see Valeria travel from country to country to look for her children. Valeria Goldberg had perhaps not anticipated what was coming when she married Leo Saltzman, the son of Samuel Saltzman, a powerful businessman. It was an arranged marriage, and things were fine until one day, Valeria made a mistake that the family could not look past.
To the Saltzman family, this mistake meant Valeria couldn't be with her children. On the advice of his parents, Leo took his and Valeria's children, Tamara and Isaac, away from their mother to Europe. On realising what Leo has done, Valeria sets out to look for her children with the help of Elías, a P.I., who used to be a Mossad agent. Moreover, her in-laws make her life even more miserable by turning their small Jewish community against her.
The characters of No One Saw Us Leave include Valeria Goldberg, played by Tessa la, who is also known for her roles in After Lucia, The Eternal Feminine, and Narcos: Mexico. The character of Leo Saltzman, Valeria's husband, is played by Emiliano Zurita, who is also known for playing Pedro in El mesero and Enrique Sánchez de Monasterio in Zorro.
Samuel Saltzman, Leo's father, is played by Juan Manuel Bernal, who is known for playing Sánchez in Sonora, Jesús El Gallo in Así en el barrio como en el cielo, and Patricio Delgado in Vivir a destiempo. Gustavo Bassani, who has also starred in The Curses, Separated, and Passport to Freedom, stars as Carlos.
Ari Brickman plays Elías. Brickman has also played Jeremy Andrews in Dinastía Casillas, Felipe Múzquiz in Like Water for Chocolate, and Nolan Turner in Más alla de ti. Alexander Varela plays Isaac Saltzman, and Marion Siro plays Tamara Saltzman, who are child actors, and this is their first project.
