Here’s what each actor actually plays in Nobody Wants This Season 2, Episode 7, When You Know, You Know:

Erin Foster: Erin created the show and runs things behind the scenes, but you won’t see her on screen.

Kristen Bell as Joanne Williams: Joanne is front and center this episode. She is an agnostic podcaster, and most of the drama here circles her and her boyfriend, Noah. We watch her go wedding dress shopping with her sister, Morgan, wrestle with her own jealousy and ideas about love, and try to figure out where things stand with Noah, especially now that he is starting a new job at a progressive temple. Her back-and-forth with Morgan and the rest of the family is what really gives this episode its emotional punch.

Justine Lupe as Morgan Williams: Morgan is Joanne’s sister and also her co-host on the podcast. She is getting ready to marry Dr. Andy, and Joanne keeps questioning if she is moving too fast. Morgan spends the episode juggling family pressure, her own doubts, and plenty of tension with Joanne, especially during the wedding dress shopping and while they record their podcast.

Adam Brody as Noah Roklov: Noah is a rabbi (and Joanne’s boyfriend), and we see him starting his first day at Temple Ahava, which is way more laid-back than his old job. He is thrown by the new vibe, and the episode digs into whether this place and this new chapter really fit him, or his relationship with Joanne.

Timothy Simons as Sasha Roklov: Sasha is Noah’s older brother. He is dealing with his own relationship and identity this season. He is not the main focus of this episode, but his presence reminds us that the whole Roklov family is dealing with their own doubts and issues.

Sherry Cola as Ashley: Ashley is Morgan’s work friend and a podcast regular. She is there for the podcast recording, where things get tense between Morgan and Joanne. She is also in the running to be maid of honor, so she is stuck right in the middle of the sisters’ drama.

Emily Arlook as Rebecca: Rebecca was earlier engaged (or almost engaged) to Noah. She is credited in this episode, but she doesn’t really have a big part in Nobody Wants This Season 2 Episode 7.

Netflix dropped all 10 episodes of Nobody Wants This Season 2 on October 23, 2025.

The relationship between Joanne and Noah is the main theme of the show this time. Joanne, who does not really practice any religion, is a podcast host, while Noah is a Jewish rabbi.

The consequences of their actions at the end of Season 1 are still lingering, and the couple is trying to deal with the situation and see if they can eventually make a life together. The major question that looms over them is whether Joanne will accept Judaism. The rabbis wish she did it for her own sake, not for Noah’s.

But Joanne is confused, caught between her own beliefs and identity issues, trying to get along with Noah's world. That tension, the struggle of faith versus love, is the main driving force of Nobody Wants This Season 2.

But the show doesn’t just stick with them. We get to see what is going on with the people around them, too. Joanne’s sister, Morgan, just got engaged to her ex-therapist, Dr. Andy. That relationship is a mix of awkward, hilarious, and weirdly sweet.

Meanwhile, Noah’s brother, Sasha, and his wife, Esther, are having a rough time. They are contemplating whether to have another kid, and if their marriage even works anymore. The season puts everyone together for big family scenes: dinners, engagement parties, synagogue gatherings, and uses those moments to spark difficult conversations about commitment, sacrifice, and what happens when different backgrounds clash.

By the middle of Nobody Wants This Season 2, it’s clear the show is not just about one couple. It digs into what it takes to blend two completely different lives, and what you end up leaving behind.
