"Not fully over other situations": Love Island UK star Shakira opens up to Conor about her confused feelings

The latest episode of Love Island UK Season 12 Episode 45 featured Conor and Shakira discussing their connection. After he requested to have a chat with her, Shakira opened up to him.

Reflecting on her connection with him and Harry, she told Conor that she was confused and didn’t know what to do. She told him that she wasn’t in a position to pursue their connection.

Love Island UK star Shakira also stated that she didn’t want to pursue Harry and also didn’t want to hurt Conor.

"I'm not in a position where I can give you everything you need right now. Because you're at a different place than I am, because I'm not fully over other situations. And it's like...hurt people...hurt people and I don't want to do that to you," shared Shakira.

Love Island UK Season 12 Episode 45: Shakira gets emotional during her chat with Conor

At night, Conor asked Shakira to have a chat with him. He asked Shakira if she had anything to share. In response, she mentioned she felt pressure in the situation. She confessed that they were in “different” places from each other. Additionally, she mentioned that she wasn’t yet over her other “situations.”

When Conor asked what she meant, Shakira said she “honestly” didn’t know. However, she was trying to “stick” it out.

"I don't know. I honestly don't know, but like, I'm trying to stick this out," she said.

Listening to her, Love Island UK star Conor asked if she was waiting for someone else. But she said no. She said she didn’t want to be with anyone at the moment.

She said that while she thought she was “getting over” it, something happened which didn’t make her feel good.

"No, I just feel like I don't want to be with anyone. Like, I think I'm getting over it and then something happens and I'm just like, for f*ck sake..."

Conor said that he “unfortunately” got dragged along in it. Shakira confessed to him that when they started talking, she wasn’t feeling that way. On the contrary, Conor mentioned he could feel it “from very early.” But he ignored it and trusted what she was telling him.

Shakira clarified that she didn’t want to pursue things with him. She was referring to Harry.

"I don't. He's (Harry) not what I'm looking for in a partner," said Shakira.

Conor pointed out how the two hadn’t spoken throughout the day. He also mentioned how he saw Shakira and Harry talking to each other.

Shakira told Conor that she liked him and also fancied him. However, she could not give him what he was looking for. She said she had “really” been trying, to which Conor said she wasn’t at fault.

As he walked away from Shakira, he told her that he didn’t want to make her feel any worse. Seeing Conor walk away, Toni and Yasmin went to Shakira, while Ty went to check on Conor.

When they asked Shakira how her conversation with Conor went, she said:

"Not good. Not good at all."

Love Island UK star Shakira got emotional, sharing that she felt bad. Toni replied that seeing her crying made her want to cry too. Shakira couldn’t hold back her tears and opened up to Toni and Yasmin about how she felt seeing Harry and Helena together.
