Vision Quest, the phase six Disney+ series, has been adding a lot more cast to its list as the series might begin filming soon. The Disney+ MCU series will follow the new White form of Vision, or "White Vision", after he flew away in the season finale of WandaVision. Many believe that the upcoming Vision series will follow the android hero as he tries to reunite with his kids and probably even locate Wanda.
Recently, renowned internet scooper Daniel Richtman revealed that Marvel may have found its Tommy Maximoff in actor Ruaridh Mollica, who was cast as Tucker in Vision Quest. But, Much like Joe Locke's Billy Maximoff remained unnamed for half of Agatha All Along, the name "Tucker" might be a misnomer. Thus, the Vision series is theorized to reunite the Maximoff family, which was broken apart in WandaVision.
Explaining Vision Quest as a part of the WandaVision Trilogy:
In WandaVision, the Scarlett Witch/ Wanda Maximoff creates an idyllic family life for herself with the help of hex magic, through which she resurrects Vision. It is with the help of the same magic that her kids, William "Billy" and Tommy Maximoff, are born.
But the WandaVision finale featured a fight between Wanda's resurrected Vision and the newly rebuilt "White Vision", who was killed at Thanos' hands in Avengers: Infinity War. But the resurrected Vision finally unlocks the white one's memories, and the latter flies away, never to be propped up for a while. However, the upcoming Vision Quest show is going to follow the White Vision.
However, story details for the upcoming Vision series are under wraps, and the series is not expected to release until somewhere in 2026. Furthermore, even the timeline of the series is unclear on whether Vision Quest takes place before, after, or even concurrently with the events of Agatha All Along, where Billy Maximoff is revealed to have been resurrected in William Kaplan's body.
Even Tommy is resurrected in another boy's body in the finale of Agatha All Along. If Daniel Richtman is correct, then it means that Tommy's soul entered the body of Tucker, who will be played by actor Ruaridh Mollica. If Joe Locke does appear in the upcoming show, then Vision Quest might be a Maximoff family reunion.
Also, considering Avengers: Doomsday has been delayed to December 18, 2026, there's a minuscule chance that even Wanda might appear in the show.
What is Vision Quest about?
As stated before, plot details of the upcoming Disney+ MCU series are under wraps. As of now, we know that Jocasta, the Android Avenger from Marvel Comics, will be a part of this Disney+ Vision series. Terry Matalas, who serves as the showrunner, described the show like this in his Katee Sackhoff on her podcast series The Sackhoff Show:
"The timeline is definitely navigated. At the end of WandaVision, the original Vision was rebuilt and weaponized, and then had a moment of discovery and acceptance of who he was. Then [he] flew off. [Vision Quest] is following that character, and that character’s journey."
Do you think that the Vision series will be a Maximoff family reunion?
