It is truly disheartening to know that the heartwarming story of Jessica Salmon and Felix Remen in Too Much will not be returning for another season. TV shows like Too Much always make a special place in the hearts of viewers. However, oftentimes, certain factors such as viewership become crucial factors in determining whether a series gets a continuation or not.

In this case, despite the series being quite intriguing, it failed to receive the viewership. Though the series creator, Lena Dunham, indicated that the “intention” for this was to make it a “limited series.” The ending of Too Much, though definitely a happy ending, leaves us with some questions.

These questions are left unanswered in Too Much

1) Will Jess and Felix’s wedding Last?

It cannot be denied that Too Much definitely gives us a happy ending with Felix and Jess getting married; however, their path to marriage was definitely quite hasty. Unlike the slow and steady progress of relationships, theirs moved quite fast.

Hence, it leaves us with the question of whether they will last or not. The longevity of their marriage is yet to be determined. It could have been interesting to see the two of them navigate their married life in the next season of the series.

2) What will be Felix’s path with sobriety?

An intriguing question that comes to the mind of the viewers at the end of Too Much is whether Felix will continue his drinking habit. At the beginning of the series, Felix’s drinking and drug abuse were depicted. However, he remained sober. This aspect changes at the end of the ninth episode.

Felix tells Jessica that he started drinking. He is even using drugs again. After this, Felix and Jessica definitely take a step towards a fresh start with their marriage. However, there is no certainty about how Felix’s path will turn out in the future. Now that the series is cancelled, this question definitely remains.

3) What were the events after Jessica’s arrest?

A hilarious part of Too Much is at the end of the tenth episode. While driving with Gaz, Jessica decides to join the protest. She reaches the protest. She then glues her hands to the road along with the others. She finally reveals her feelings to Felix, which eventually leads to their marriage at the end of the series. However, she then gets arrested for the protest.

After Jessica gets arrested, the scene directly cuts to their marriage without any revelation about the process that she went through. It would definitely be a humorous moment to witness. It cannot be denied that TV shows often remove small details that eventually become the source of intrigue. This moment was definitely one such event in the series.

4) What will Jessica’s career path be like?

In the final episode of Too Much, Jessica is struggling after her breakup with Felix. She gets a call from Jameson. He appreciates her for the work she has done, even pointing out her achievements so far. He also understood Jessica’s emotional situation.

So he gave her the opportunity to return to her home, where he would set her up for a new opportunity. Her career is definitely taking a turn with the relationship issue she now faces. Hence, the question remains about whether the path she chooses for the future is stable or not, as all she wanted was stability in her career.

5) How will Jess and Felix address the past trauma and issues?

Past trauma plays a vital role in Too Much. This series takes on sensitive issues and presents them with a storyline that leaves an impact. Jessica and Felix are now married. However, in the ninth episode, Felix revealed his cheating, drinking, and drug abuse.

His past is definitely still quite impactful in his life, as is Jessica’s. Hence, to see the two of them navigate through these issues would have been an interesting aspect of the next season.
