Off Campus: Everything we know about the upcoming adaptation of Elle Kennedy's book series by Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has recently ordered an Off Campus series based on the popular book series by author Elle Kennedy. Off Campus is a book series centered around an adorable teen romance, and the upcoming show will be helmed by Lousia Levy as the showrunner. Off Campus will be produced by Amazon MGM Studios and will follow a chronological order of adaptation based on the literary source material, with the first season being based on the book The Deal, which was first published back in 2015.

What's the latest buzz about Off Campus on Prime Video?

Vernon Sanders is the head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. In a recently released statement, he revealed:

"Elle Kennedy’s beloved Off-Campus series, has resonated with a massive audience by tackling relatable topics from self-discovery to the power of connection. With Louisa Levy guiding our series alongside Temple Hill, Leanna, and Neal, our global Prime Video customers will fall in love with this story all over again."

As of now, there isn't a potential release window for Off Campus, and production has also not started. Amazon Prime Video recently dropped the cast details on May 6, announcing that Ella Brigh and Belmont Cameli have been cast in the leading roles of Hannah and Garrett. Apart from this, the other cast members include Antonio Cipriano as Logan, Mika Abdalla as Allie, Jalen Thomas Brooks as Tucker, Stephen Kalyn as Dean, and Josh Heuston as Justin.

Taking to her Instagram profile, Off Campus author Elle Kennedy had expressed her excitement at her book series being finally adapted for the screen:

"I have been sitting on this news for what feels like forever, and it’s been SO HARD to not spill the beans! But I’m beyond thrilled to finally announce that @amazonmgmstudios and Temple Hill are developing the OffCampus series for television.”

She further added:

"That’s right, the Briar universe is coming to your screens! And this wouldn’t be happening if it weren’t for YOU–the readers who have championed this series so passionately. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support, kind words, and all the hockey love. Special thanks to Team EK and everyone who has worked so hard on this project. I cannot wait to see our showrunner bring the series to life!”

As per the official synopsis of the show released to Variety magazine, the debut season:

"Follows the unlikely romance between a wry, hockey-hating music major (Bright) and Briar University’s playboy star center (Camelli). The series depicts the elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood."
