Old Money Season 2 must be in the works, or at least fans hope it does! Season 1 finished on a sobbing, cliffhanger finale, with all the plotlines still open and loose ends that created titanic speculation for season two. With family soap opera, complex relationships, and career disappointments, the show left as many of its questions unsolved as was humanly possible so that viewers would be left wanting more of another season.

But as of 2025, the series hasn't been officially renewed or canceled by Netflix. The series still remains in the consideration list of the streaming platform, with the website considering its ratings, audience, and overall reaction before making a final announcement.

Without official confirmation, the reason why the second season is so apparent. Season 1 was all about the Bulut family's personal struggles with each other, perilous business ventures, and complicated relationships with other principal characters.

Principal storylines such as Nihal's yacht company business, Berna and Arda's romance, Mahir's development as a character, and company issues facing the family were left unresolved. That is so for Old Money Season 2, full of content, even though Netflix has not made the official announcement yet.

Here are 5 burning questions from Season 1 that Old Money Season 2 needs to happen to address

1. Will Nihal be able to deliver the Yacht and save her family legacy?

The biggest over the head of Old Money Season 1 is Nihal and the yacht project. Success for her family had directly resulted from her ability to deliver and manage the commissioned yacht, a business transaction as well as a demonstration of pride and honor within the family name. Season 1 tested her grit, ingenuity, and business skills, but the future of the project was unsure.

If Old Money Season 2 ever occurs, it would delve into the procedural and emotional challenges Nihal must face to finish the yacht. Primarily, the audience would witness how her leadership ability, negotiation, and willpower decide the fate of the family. The series would delve primarily into what if obstacles exist, sustaining suspense, which made Season 1 thrilling.

2. What will happen with Berna and Arda’s complicated relationship?

Berna and Arda's love affair left Old Money Season 1 hanging in the balance. Although Berna had professed that she was in love, the fate of their romance hung precariously on the circumstances of business pressure, society pressure, and the sensibilities of old money and new money.

Their soap opera questioned whether emotion would prevail over business disagreement and public opinion. A second season would more realistically be able to explore whether their relationship survives and how they navigate intersecting personal and professional responsibilities. That could be some insight into the intersection of love, trust, and ambition, a thematic thread throughout the first season.

3. Can Mahir budge his emotional barrier?

Mahir's psychological ride was also an open-ended story. His survivor's guilt, child trauma, and defenses controlled his behavior and actions around the rest of the cast. While he made peace with Asli in Season 1's finale, his inner turmoil was far from finished.

If Old Money Season 2 existed, audiences could perhaps watch Mahir resolving unfinished business, learning further with the people he cares about, and working his way towards emotional maturity. The spin-off would open up more about how things learned in the past influence current relationships, an episode sort of theme.

4. Why did Nihal push Osman away?

The fight between Osman and Nihal left Old Money Season 1 suspended. Despite Osman secretly sharing money with Nihal, she nonetheless believed in freedom, and tension was created, leaving the viewer wondering whether or not they could be reunited. They are both included in both personal and professional narratives, so any reconciliation within Old Money Season 2 should ideally revolve around whether mutual trust and understanding could mend the rift between them.

Wrapping up this story would cover the motivation of the characters and what more can be known regarding the greater implications for the business and relationships of the Bulut family. It's one of the fan-favorite stories people most look forward to seeing wrapped up in a future season.

5. How would the Bulut family business struggles evolve?

Season 1 set the stage for the Bulut family's desire to become players in the cutthroat business community of Istanbul. Success was illustrated initially, but the final repercussions of their decisions, family discord, and outside opposition were not examined.

Old Money Season 2, should it be commissioned, would surely delve further into such corporate issues, taking into account strategic choices, competitive forces, and ethical dilemmas. Witnessing how all such friction affects family and personal life would give us the big picture of the threats built into Season 1.

Potential renewal status and timeline

Even as fan passion and storytelling requirements demand the continuation, Netflix has not officially renewed Old Money Season 2. Fans and analysts follow streaming viewership and performance statistics to make wise conjecture about the show's future. Current estimates indicate that, if renewed, a premiere would be late in 2026, in October, but that is only conjecture.

YouTube channels like Flicker Scribe and Media Breakdown have also speculated on the possibility of renewal and how the story can be prolonged. Both of these sets of sources indicate tremendous fan interest and plot justification for season 2, but refrain from Netflix in terms of rating performance and other internal factors.

Why Old Money Season 2 would matter

With no official confirmation, the open-ended plots have made Old Money Season 2 a natural and expected sequel. The audience is looking for closure for Nihal's family drama, Berna and Arda's romance, Mahir's emotional growth, Nihal and Osman's battle, and the Bulut family's business drama. All these have left room in the Season 1 saga, and therefore, there is more to be said.

Besides asking questions, a second season would include more cultural and social ideas in Season 1, such as back-story regarding social hierarchies, family responsibilities, and corporate morality in Istanbul. Back-stories would enrich and define the knowledge of the world of the story and engage the audience as well.

Therefore, Old Money Season 2 is much-awaited due to Season 1's cliffhangers and loose ends. Nihal's yacht enterprise, Arda and Berna's breakdown, Mahir's psychological journey, Osman and Nihal's cryptic relationship, and the Bulut family's professional conundrum all raise questions outstanding and waiting to be further investigated.

Yet, as of late 2025, Netflix has not made an announcement or discontinuance of a second season. The site is now piloting the streaming quality, viewer ratings, and viewer engagement before issuing a definitive mandate.

If adopted, Old Money Season 2 will allegedly release at some point later in 2026, responding to the lingering questions in addition to broadening the series' scope. Meanwhile, however, the critics and the fans continue to hold out hope that the threads of the plot spun through Season 1 will be accorded the thought and follow-through that they so obviously deserve.
