Paige DeSorbo made her surprise hosting debut on Love Island USA season 7 during the episode that aired on Sunday, June 15, 2025. The Giggly Squad podcast co-host and former Summer House star stepped into the villa to lead the Islanders through a challenge titled 'Got Wood?'—a cheeky competition that saw contestants in lumberjack outfits engage in flirtatious physical games.

The appearance marked DeSorbo’s first since announcing her exit from Bravo’s Summer House earlier this year. On the show, she introduced herself by saying,

“I'm Paige DeSorbo from Bravo Summer House and I am so excited to be here. I'm a huge Love Island fan and you guys have been killing it all summer. You all look amazing. You're definitely the sexiest lumberjacks I've ever seen. Not that I've seen a lot, but. Are you guys excited?”

DeSorbo’s entry came amid a wave of rotating guest hosts this season, as Love Island USA host Ariana Madix juggles other filming commitments. Her appearance was part of a broader hosting lineup that included Sophie Monk and Eyal Booker earlier in the season.

DeSorbo’s cameo was met with enthusiasm by the contestants and viewers, and her stint was linked to her long-standing public admiration for the series. DeSorbo’s cameo on Love Island USA came shortly after she confirmed her departure from Summer House following seven seasons. In a statement posted to Instagram, she said,

“I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House. Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable.” She continued, “You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”

The decision followed a year of professional milestones for DeSorbo. She and her podcast co-host Hannah Berner recently completed a national comedy tour under the Giggly Squad brand.

She also launched Daphne, a sleepwear brand that sold out after its first release. Her appearance on Love Island USA was anticipated by fans, especially after Madix had previously expressed interest in having her on the show.

What happened in the Love Island USA episode

The June 15 episode of Love Island USA season 7 included more than just DeSorbo’s debut. It featured the second recoupling ceremony of the season, with eliminations and shifting relationships dominating the storyline.

Early in the episode, tensions rose as Charlie confronted the growing bond between Hannah and Pepe. It was revealed that Hannah had kissed Pepe, which added pressure to her existing dynamic with Charlie.

Meanwhile, Huda and Jeremiah had a tense conversation about their relationship. Jeremiah told Huda that Iris wanted to explore a connection with him, but he clarified that he was closed off. Huda was frustrated by Jeremiah’s decision to discuss their relationship issues with others, but the two reconciled and kissed afterward.

In another scene, Austin spoke to Chelley about her relationship with Ace. Chelley expressed frustration with Austin’s need for constant reassurance and praised Ace for his self-assurance. However, when she later spoke with Ace, he told her that he wanted to explore a connection with Iris instead. Chelley appeared emotionally drained by the back-and-forth, unsure about where she stood in the villa.

Later, Huda and Jeremiah took their connection to the next level by becoming intimate and expressing that they loved each other. Elsewhere, Charlie attempted to talk to Iris, but Hannah saw the move as manipulative and thought he was trying to provoke jealousy.

DeSorbo then arrived to host the “Got Wood?” challenge, a lighthearted and provocative game that required the Islanders to dress as lumberjacks, imitate chopping wood, and engage in secret make-out sessions. Olandria became a central figure in the challenge as she was chosen multiple times for kisses, eventually locking lips with four different Islanders.

The episode concluded with a dramatic recoupling ceremony driven by America’s vote. The public decided which of the three new bombshells would pair with existing contestants. As a result, Olandria was matched with Jaelen, Iris was paired with Jeremiah—much to Huda’s dismay—and Pepe was coupled with Hannah.

This left Charlie, Huda, and Taylor single and at risk. After a vote by the other Islanders, Charlie was eliminated in a 3-2-1 decision. His plea to stay was not enough to sway the house. Hannah was visibly upset and in tears after Charlie’s departure.

Charlie, a U.K. native, had entered the villa during the first week and initially connected well with Hannah. However, new bombshell arrivals disrupted their relationship.
