Palm Royale Season 2 Episode 2 recap: Maxine fights her way back and Linda's crisis

Palm Royale Season 2 comes with a distinct, breathtaking visual. The thrilling storyline is back with another intense episode. In the previous episode, we see that Maxine finally gets her freedom. She leaves the asylum with Evelyn. The stage is all set for some more intriguing moments, especially related to how she will navigate the upcoming challenges. The second episode of Palm Royale Season 2 begins where things are left off in the first episode.

Maxine fights her way back, and Linda’s crisis in Palm Royale Season 2, Episode 2

The second episode of Palm Royale Season 2 starts off with Linda in a difficult situation. An agent arrives to begin an investigation. Seeing the agent Linda become sarcastic. The agent starts to ask Linda questions about whether she attempted to assassinate the president. Linda tells him that she wanted to do the opposite, for which she landed in that situation.

She also adds that he can charge her for being a “radical woman”. The agent comes out to tell the other agents that Linda’s words were of no help. However, the news twists her words and makes her look like the guilty one. The scene cuts to show us what the other characters are up to. Maxine is eager to take revenge on Douglas and picks up a hammer. Seeing Maxine, Evelyn stops her and tells her that she should not do something that would make her regret signing her out of the asylum.

Maxine tells Evelyn that she is having “awful” thoughts and that she cannot stop them. Evelyn's understanding of her rage offers her a plan. She tells her that she needs to go for an exile. According to her, travel would help her eclipse her scandals for this season, and she can arrive next season for some more. Maxine then decides to visit Linda, worrying about her suffering for a crime that she did not commit.

Linda is extremely happy to see Maxine and tells her that all the great martyrs of the world have been framed, and it is okay. Maxine then asks her if she needs anything. She offers her skincare, but Linda refuses. They begin to discuss the injustice. Though Linda is quite optimistic about her situation, Maxine informs her that she has pleaded guilty.

Linda finally understands the grave danger she is in and worries about her life. Maxine’s intelligence comes in handy in Palm Royale Season 2 as she tells Linda about all the dirt she knows about higher-up officials and how it could be used if they are not able to find Mary within the time limit.

As this episode of Palm Royale Season 2 continues, Maxine comes across Evelyn while she is trying to get a column for an advertisement. When asked about how she is going to pay the hefty amount for the advertisement, Maxine informs Evelyn that Linda made her the conservator for the Rollins estate, which in turn makes her the conservator for Evelyn as well.

Hearing this, Evelyn gets extremely angry and begins to regret helping Maxine. Seeing Evelyn’s attire, Maxine rightly guesses that Evelyn is on her way to get married. The two of them go shopping for the wedding, where they come across Dinah. Evelyn tells Maxine that, as she introduced Doug to Mitzi, Norma received the money. Evelyn calculates the amount and tells her that it is about eighty million, which completely shocks her.

The scene cuts to Maxine giving Douglas divorce papers, which he did not expect. She then tells him that he will have to marry Mitzi and have the baby so that he can give half of all the money that he gets. However, soon Maxine realized that she had mixed up the papers and gave the wrong ones to Douglas. Maxine returns to Evelyn’s house, where she finds Mary hiding behind the picture frame.

She follows the tunnels and finds herself in the Dellacorte house. At the house, Douglas tells her that she needs to get the ring back because he needs to give it to Mitzi. On the other hand, in Palm Royale Season 2, Perry is tasked to kill Linda. When Dinah hears this, she quickly reaches out to Maxine.

Maxine then visits Linda to tell her about the whole situation regarding the misplacement of the files. Soon, the plan to save Linda begins. A group of women enters Linda’s room to transform Axel into Linda with a wig. Dinah then takes Linda on the stretcher and escapes.

At the end of Palm Royale Season 2, Episode 2, after Maxine and Linda catch Mary in the tunnels, she reveals that Evelyn made her hide the truth. However, before they are able to take Mary, Virginia arrives. Instead of arresting them, Virginia decides to help them escape, as Linda is her friend.

Douglas arrives, and Maxine asks him to fly her to safety, which he accepts only if Maxine leaves Palm Beach. This episode of Palm Royale Season 2 ends with Linda telling Douglas that Maxine is the best thing that has happened to him.
