James Gunn recently revealed the strongest member of the 11th Street Kids from Peacemaker, and his answer makes sense considering the events from the show's recent episodes.

In the last few years, Gunn has spearheaded the Warner Bros./DC Studios projects in a new creative direction, with DCU effectively superseding the previously established DCEU. He seemingly made it clear by replacing Justice League from the first season's finale with the Justice Gang, who appeared in David Corenswet-led Superman.

Since then, the DC co-head has been vocal about the plot developments in the new season and where it is taking Chris Smith and the rest of the 11th Street Kids. After the last season, the squadmates parted ways out of necessity rather than desire. So, the new season is showing them trying to mend their broken bond one step at a time.

One of the crucial parts of Chris's squad has been Eagley. Earlier, we saw him only as Chris's ferocious pet eagle, but the new season is showing another side of him. In the show's fifth episode, dubbed Back to the Suture, he also won a fight against Red St. Wild (Michael Rooker), thus proving that he isn't vulnerable without Peacemaker.

After this episode premiered on HBO Max, Gunn appeared on the post-show breakdown. That's when he called Eagley the strongest member of the 11th Street Kids. Here's what he said,

"[Eagly is] probably the most powerful of the 11th Street Kids. He's going to have to face off with Red St. Wild. And we see that Red St. Wild's bulls***t about the primal eagle - maybe is not bulls***t, that there is something incredibly special about Eagly."

In Peacemaker's first season, Eagley appeared as one of Chris's closest and most trustworthy allies. It was clear that the eagle was not just another pet, but fans didn't quite see him using his powers.

The second season introduced Eagley as a fully-formed character, who unknowingly let Red St. Wild realize the location that Chris was hiding at in the woods shortly after A.R.G.U.S. breaks into Chris's house. Red, a deranged poacher, was confident that Eagley was a prime eagle. So, he wanted to kill the bird for his sick plan.

Eagley destroyed Red's mission by realizing his trap. He fiercely attacked Red along with other eagles, thus seemingly ending his life. Right after this episode, Gunn named Eagley the most powerful member of the 11th Street Kids.

Besides Eagley, Peacemaker Season 2 is also shaping up Adebayo, Harcourt, and Vigilante's characters for something bigger and climactic in a way fans might not have anticipated. The recently released sixth episode showed the three entering another dimension, along with Economos, to bring Chris back to his reality.

Chris believed that the world he entered was perfect, since it portrayed him as a hero, not an anti-hero. Yet, it happened to be perfect just for him, or anyone like him. As the episode title suggested, Ignorance is/was Bliss for Chris.
