Peacemaker Season 2 rises to the top dominating all other HBO shows in streaming charts 

Peacemaker Season 2, one of the most anticipated seasons of a show ever, premiered on HBO Max on 21st August 2025. The first season was released in 2022, and season two arrived three years later. While one could guess that Peacemaker Season 2 would be a popular one, its actual popularity post-release has broken all records.

As Collider reports, Peacemaker Season 2 is the most-streamed on HBO Max in most countries of the world. It is not yet the most-streamed show in the USA, but in almost all other countries, it has beaten every other show on HBO Max.

Peacemaker Season 2 breaks records

While Peacemaker season one was set in the DCEU and was a spin-off to Suicide Squad (2021), the second season is set in the DCU, after the events of Superman (2025). Peacemaker Season 2 follows Chris Smith aka Peacemaker, as he discovers an alternate universe, which is exactly how he would like his own universe to be. But that also means that Chris has to face his past trauma that he endured as a child, and decide how his future is going to turn out.

As Collider reports, Peacemaker Season 2 is the most-streamed show on HBO Max right now, in most countries. However, it is still not the most-streamed in USA. The show has beaten And Just Like That, Gilmore Girls, and The Gilded Age, among other highly streamed shows on HBO Max. While it isn't the most-streamed show on HBO Max in the USA, at the time of writing this article, it has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 99% on the Tomatometer and an 80% score on the Popcornmeter.

Besides, it has also beaten its first season, which presently has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 93% on the Tomatometer and 87% score on the Popcornmeter. The second season has an almost perfect Tomatometer score after just four episodes, which means there's still time for the season to achieve the perfect 100%.

The main cast of Peacemaker Season 2 includes John Cena as Chris Smith, aka Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase or Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Agent Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as Agent John Economos, Frank Grillo as General Rick Flag, Sr., and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.

The recurring cast of the show includes David Denman as Keith Smith or Captain Triumph, Sol Rodríguez as Agent Sasha Bordeaux, Tim Meadows as Agent Langston Fleury, Nhut Le as Rip Jagger or Judomaster, Dee Bradley Baker as the voice of Eagly, and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow as Keeya Adebayo.

Other members of the recurring cast include Joel Kinnaman as Colonel Rick Flag, Jr., Brey Noelle as Jaina Hudson or White Rabbit, Michael Rooker as Red St. Wild, Terence Rosemore as Otis Berg, and Stephen Blackehart as Sydney Happersen, Michael Ian Black as Cleavis Thornwaite, and Taylor St. Clair as Mrs. Chase.

The guest cast of the show includes Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders or Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner or Green Lantern, and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord. Peacemaker is written and created by James Gunn, who is also an executive producer along with Matt Miller, Peter Safran, and John Cena. The production companies behind the show are The Safran Company, Troll Court Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Studios.

While three episodes of Peacemaker Season 2 have been released, the remaining episodes of the season will be released weekly on Thursdays till 9th October 2025. The first season of Peacemaker and the released episodes of season two are all streaming on HBO Max.
