The Pitch Perfect franchise has a brand new addition to the franchise in the form of Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols. According to reports, the show is created as a comedy under Brownstone and is set to initiate an interesting turn of events for the Pitch Perfect universe.
Here's everything we know about the latest installment.
Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols, under production at Brownstone Productions

The Pitch Perfect franchise has always stood out in Hollywood, especially with the all-female ensemble cast, who are not focused on finding a man, a rarity in Hollywood. This rarity has been rewarding, as the second installment, released in 2015 in the franchise, became one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time.
Recently, to add to the franchise's success, Peacock's brand-new project titled Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols is under production. The project is written by Joel Kim Booster, and it is described as the journey of a singer-songwriter. The logline reads:
"follows a struggling singer-songwriter whose life completely turns upside down when she finds herself auditioning to be a part of the first all-American K-pop group."
Fans of the Pitch Perfect franchise are expecting to experience this blend of music and comedy in a brand-new setting, which is surely a first of its kind: an all-American K-pop group. K-pop has been the latest obsession in the entertainment genre in recent years, so it will be exciting to witness the Pitch Perfect formula on this popular genre of music.
Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols is under production at Peacock under Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman's Brownstone Productions company, which is set up under Warner Bros. Television. Banks and Handelman will be involved in Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols as executive producers. Jason Moore will be directing the project and is also involved as a producer, with Scott Niemeyer and Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Films joining.
Banks is an integral part of Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols, considering she appeared onscreen for all three films in the franchise, and Brownstone Productions and Good Circle films are responsible for the production of each of the films in the franchise. Banks even directed the (highest all-time grossing in 2015) film Pitch Perfect 2, so there are expectations that this project will be just as revolutionary as the previous projects in the franchise, especially since Moore, who directed the first installment, is set to direct this one.
Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, starring Adam DeVine reprising his role, also aired on Peacock in 2022, making the series a comeback to base for the franchise.
