Cast, creators, and the big siblings twist in Platonic: Blue Moon Hotel

The new rom-com Platonic: Blue Moon Hotel has three famous Turkish actors in lead roles: Gupse Özay, Kerem Bürsin, and Öykü Karayel. Gupse Özay is not only playing one of the leading roles, but is also the creator and co-writer of the show along with Onur Bilgetay.

Platonic: Blue Moon Hotel is directed by Onur Bilgetay. Karayel, Bürsin, and Özay form the main trio. They are accompanied by an energetic supporting cast, which includes Uğur Demirpehlivan, Gümeç Alpay Aslan, Leyla Kader İlhan, Ahad Kazmaz, Samet Gürsel, Pınar Çağlar Gençtürk, and Osman Doğan, among others.

The plot revolves around two sisters, Gülten (Gupse Özay) and Nedret (Öykü Karayel), who own a small boutique hotel and hold completely different opinions on love. It becomes even more complicated when the two sisters fall in love with the same attractive businessman, Kaan (Kerem Bürsin), who may have a few secrets of his own. This sibling twist transforms a usual romantic comedy into something more.

The show was shot in the seaside town of Alaçatı, adjoining Çeşme in the Aegean coast of Turkey. You can expect sunny streets, adorable windmills, white-washed houses, blue accents, and altogether a dreamy setting for a cozy, colorful love story.

The synopsis for the series reads as follows:

"When a suave stranger with a hidden agenda checks into the Blue Moon Hotel, chaos and raunchy romance ensnare the two unhinged sisters who work there."
