Platonic Season 2 cast and character guide: Who plays whom in the Apple TV+ comedy

Platonic Season 2 premiered on Apple TV recently and has been garnering much acclaim from critics and fans alike. The series follows the story of two former best friends, Will (played by Seth Rogen) and Sylvia (Rose Byrne), who find themselves facing complicated mid-life challenges. The two friends will connect again as they navigate through their chaotic lives.

Season 2 of the comedy drama series finds the two leading characters taking their friendship forward as Will prepares to get married to Jenna (played by Rachel Rosenbloom) after a whirlwind romance. The series currently holds a 100% critics rating and an 83% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Other than Rogen, Byrne, and Rosenbloom, the Platonic Season 2 cast also includes Luke Macfarlane, Carla Gallo, and Tre Hale.

Platonic is created by Francesca Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller. Season 2 of the series comprises 10 episodes, which will be released weekly with the finale slated to air on October 1, 2025. We take a look at some of the key characters from the Apple TV series.

Platonic Season 2 cast

Seth Rogen as Will – Will is a brewery owner in Platonic, whose life comes crumbling down after his messy divorce. He would reconnect with his long-lost friend Sylvia, with whom he maintains a platonic friendship. After a few months of a relationship with his boss, Jenna, they get engaged. Rogen has a stellar filmography, which includes The Studio, Pam & Tommy, This is the End, Pineapple Express, Knocked Up, and Superbad.

Rose Byrne as Sylvia – A former lawyer, Sylvia is now a stay-at-home mother who sets out on a mission to rediscover herself. She will reconnect with her former college best friend Will after his divorce. Rose Byrne has also been part of other successful projects such as Bridesmaids, Neighbors, Spy, and Insidious.

Luke Macfarlane as Charlie Greeves – Charlie is the enthusiastic and loving husband of Sylvia, who is going through his own midlife crisis. A lawyer by profession, he is also seen questioning his career choices. Luke Macfarlane has also been part of ventures such as Hacks, The Night Shift, Invincible, and Bros.

Carla Gallo as Katie –Katie is Sylvia’s closest friend and a fellow mother, who is often the person she turns to for comfort. She starts dating Will’s business partner, Andy, and they get married at the end of season 1. Carla Gallo has also appeared in projects such as Sid is Dead, The Starling, Mayan M.C., and 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Tre Hale as Andy – Andy is Will’s business partner and one of his best friends. He would develop a romantic relationship with Katie after Will and Sylvia rekindled their friendship. Tre Hale has also appeared in All American, Strange Planet, Shameless, and Magnum P.I.

Rachel Rosenbloom as Jenna – Jenna is Will’s boss, and they both will develop a romantic relationship leading to engagement. In Season 2, their engagement seems to have hit a snag with unforeseen challenges. Rachel Rosenbloom has also been part of other successful projects such as Nobody Wants This, Blood of Zeus, 9-1-1, and Call Jane.

Andrew Lopez as Reggie – Reggie is the stepbrother of Will’s ex-wife and also happens to be his former business partner. Andrew Lopez is also known for The Bear, Blockers, and Bad Vibes.
