Here is a quick Pluribus Episode 5 recap

Carol is left all alone in Pluribus Episode 5

Zosia is recovering from the cardiac arrest fortunately, but Carol is left with more questions. Pluribus Episode 5 starts off in the hospital where Carol takes a call from Laxmi, who is upset at her for making her son cry. Carol’s actions of interrogating Zosia, who ultimately got a heart attack, has somehow brought down everyone’s spirit.

Everyone is actively keeping away from Carol, almost like they are afraid of her and what she is capable of. So much so that they leave the town all together to keep away from Carol. Even the patients.

Things start spiraling out of her control. Though she is feeling isolated, Carol is set on finding the remedy for the unique problem. The others leave a message for her, telling Carol that they don’t hate her but after everything that happened, they are taking some time away. While Carol is staying true to herself, one can catch glimpses of her feeling deserted.

In Pluribus Episode 5, Carol doesn’t show regret and decides to send a recording to the 12 immune people where she speaks about the antidote and brings up the fact that the ‘alien virus’ does not let the others lie. She emphasizes that though this world may seem too good from the outside, there is something more sinister underneath it all. A drone is sent her way to pick up the recording to be sent to others like her, which leaves her baffled.

Carol is the only one in the city of Albuquerque, but she was not going to let this bring her down. She is borderline paranoid because of the clutter made by animals and insists the lights everywhere be switched on.

Suspicious milk cartons draw Carol’s attention in Pluribus Episode 5

An abandoned city means there is some mess to be dealt with as Carol will come to learn in the morning as Pluribus Episode 5 progresses. A drone is sent to clean up, after she makes a call. Carol must ensure that her trash is not heavy. But her bags do not keep up with the weight limit and the drone gets stuck on the streetlight.

Carol will find a way to dispose her trash. As she gets to garbage bins, she finds all of them filled with empty milk containers. Finding it odd that the people are so addicted to milk, she decides to look into it and ends up at the local dairy company.

At the milk plant, which appears to have halted their operations, Carol finds a greasy liquid in the pipe. She keeps going through the plant and comes upon a room where she discovers many brown packages, filled with a mysterious power. Carol brings one of the bags back home.

Carol sets up her recording and evens runs various tests after the powder is mixed with water. She would reiterate in the recording that she finds it peculiar that people seem to be addicted to the milk. She says that it is not milk, but a strange liquid made with the powder she discovered at the local dairy facility.

In Pluribus Episode 5, Carol shares her doubts that this liquid is all that the people consume and they must be manufacturing it in the other cities as well. She wonders what the liquid does to them and if it is the reason they have hive mind. She is also frustrated that there has been no response from the other 12 people and questions if they are even getting these recordings. A drone comes and picks the recording as usual.

Carol finds herself in a cryptic storage room in Pluribus Episode 5

By night, the wolves are running wild outside and Carol is anything but happy about it. When they try to dig up Helen’s grave, Carol tries to stop them but only to realize that the wolves can overpower her. Instead, she gets into the police vehicle and crashes the fence and drives the wolves away.

As the morning arrives in Pluribus Episode 5, Carol still finds herself in the police vehicle. She decides to finally make peace with her partner’s death. She will place huge slabs on top of the ground and a painted headstone for Helen.

Later, Carol will notice a barcode on top of the brown bag containing the strange powder. She immediately heads to the local store, which is completely empty. She tries to scan the barcode but finds nothing. Instead, she uncovers a similar barcode on a bag of dog food. She also gets the name of the manufacturer, Agri-Jet.

Before Pluribus Episode 5 comes to an end, Carol heads to the Agri-Jet facility to investigate the barcode and its connection to the milk cartons. She walks through the empty corridors and comes upon a storage room. There are food items wrapped in plastic, kept on huge shelves. What she sees under one of the covers, leaves her shocked.
