Natasha Lyonne stars as Charlie Cale in Rian Johnson's mystery television series Poker Face. Charlie's special gift is her ability to detect dishonesty in others. As she goes from place to place, she utilizes her investigative skills and becomes involved in bizarre events and unexpected deaths.

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET, Peacock released Sloppy Joseph, Season 2's sixth episode. This episode, set in a wealthy private school where student competition is darker, took a playful but ominous turn.

Stephanie, a straight-A student with an impeccable gold star chart, is the main character of the epsiode. Elijah, the new youngster whose charm and skill immediately garner attention, is her biggest challenge.

Stephanie takes matters into her own hands. She sabotages his magic act at the school talent show rather than going after him directly.

Due to this, in front of everyone, Elijah unintentionally kills Joseph, the class gerbil. It's darkly humorous, ridiculous, and disturbing. Even though there are no fatalities, Elijah in particular suffers emotionally.

Charlie realizes something is awry and starts digging. She instantly suspects Stephanie, but she has a different type of challenge: Stephanie is intelligent, cautious, and always one step ahead. She conceals the facts and even wields power over the school's principal.

At the end, Charlie links the dots through Stephanie's fixation with gold stars. Even once the truth is revealed, Stephanie avoids serious punishment. Her web of control remains strong.

Sloppy Joseph is an outstanding Poker Face season 2 episode—it's funny, snappy, and frightening. It demonstrates that not all villains are grownups, and that the most dangerous people are often those who know how to bend the rules in their favor.
