In this star-studded ceremony, Miley had arrived to receive the prestigious Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her latest song, 'Dream As One' from Avatar: Fire and Ice.

Miley Cyrus is excited to be a part of Heated Rivalry Season 2

Miley Cyrus rose to the global stage through Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, where she played a teenager living a double life as a pop star. If she really strikes the musical chords for Season 2, it will be a fresh addition that fans are likely very excited to see.

Heated Rivalry was immensely popular; the soundtracks and associated tours launched her straight into the era's major teen pop presence. Beyond the Disney phase, Cyrus transformed her sound and image, not sticking to one genre.

Heated Rivalry itself has earned global fame with its release in November 2025 on Canadian streamer Crave. The show drew viewers for its steamy romance story and heated competition between the two leads.

The sheer speed at which the series was renewed signalled strong confidence from the platform. Therefore, every element that makes the show what it is matters to the viewers.

Music plays an important role in a show like Heated Rivalry. Even though the show is not a musical, its narrative is grounded, charged, yet emotional. Season 1 had many soundtracks like Feist’s Sealion, to Philippe B’s Chelsea mon amour, and Lips by Baxter Dury.

The list also includes Alfa Rococo’s Luz and Lumière alongside Wall of Love from Night Lunch. With these strong titles, the show had a versatile music palette.

However, these titles are only a handful of the many soundtracks used in the show. The story of the show traces two ice hockey players named Ilya and Shane, who hide a brewing hot romance behind heated competition.

Due to the charged nature of their romance, songs are often used to heighten tension, set up moments, and underline character dynamics. That deliberate relationship with music has become part of the show’s appeal.

Miley Cyrus has created a varied range of music, starting from party anthems to slow and emotional tracks like Wrecking Ball. In recent years, Miley Cyrus has chosen her projects carefully. She has been selective in recent years to choose work that really aligned.

Her openness to join the title suggests that the show reached beyond just TV screens. It has the capacity to draw in the best from the music industry as well.

Miley has moved through genres like pop, rock, country, and experimental phases. As she matured, she also built a reputation for vocal versatility and creative reinvention. A very significant recognition came with her Grammy win in 2024 for Flowers.

Cyrus also reflected briefly on her recent Grammy nominations during the same interview, saying she felt happy and grateful. It subtly framed 2026 as a strong year already unfolding in her favor. She mentioned,

"I'm really happy.. I'm grateful"

With this renewed energy and enthusiasm at the very start of the year, both Miley and Heated Rivalry flare up fan excitement. Heated Rivalry is streaming on HBO Max.
