Power Book IV: Force Season 3 returned to the small screens with the third episode on Friday, November 21, 2025. If fans are to be believed, this episode was regarded as this season's best episode. That's because the episode featured the return of D-Mac to the CBI (Chicago Brothers Incorporated).

For some, "There's Always a Price to Pay", the third episode of Power Book IV: Force Season 3 was saved because of the last ten minutes, which involved Tommy finding out a major secret involving Diamond that creates drama for the upcoming episodes. The synopsis for the episode reads:

"As Tommy does damage control with allies, Diamond and Jenard devise a plan to deal with D-Mac, and Vic plots his next move."

Tommy wants to be the big man in Chicago, but so far, he has been unable to keep his allies happy. The events of the previous two episodes, including Chavo's death in the second episode and Tommy's tendency to be guided by his own emotions, drove his allies away. Thus, this episode sees his attempts to rebuild the burnt bridges with his allies, to win the top spot in Chicago.

If he is serious about winning, Tommy needs to collaborate with his allies and keep them happy. Taking over Chicago is important to Tommy because he failed to do the same with New York. So, winning Chicago over is personal. But achieving this goal might not be as easy as he expected, as his gang members Diamond and Jenard might not be as trustworthy as he initially thought. This has to do with D-Mac.

D-Mac returns in Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 3:

Tommy was under the impression for most of this Power Book IV: Force Season 3 episode that D-Mac was dead in the ambush. However, he is shocked to learn that D-Mac not only survived but was reinstated by Diamond and Jenard to the CBI. This move has Tommy question his place in the entire coalition, as it was done without his knowledge.

Furthermore, Tommy also learns why Jenard and Diamond reinstated D-Mac into the CBI: to make another attempt on D-Mac's life after the failed attempt with the ambush. The brothers' actions make Tommy assess their trustworthiness and question his position in the overall criminal network of Chicago.

Showrunner Gary Lennon did tease that season 3, which is also its final season, will force fans to question everything they know about Tommy. His statement read:

“It is bittersweet to write the fulfilling ending of this chapter in Tommy’s journey, a character myself and fans have grown to love over the past decade. Season 3 will question everything we thought we knew of Tommy’s world and I promise you it will not disappoint! Although this may be the end of the road for ‘Force,’ there is much more expansive, compelling storytelling for the characters within the Power Universe.”

It seems that the series is delivering on Lennon's tease from January 2024.

As of now, three episodes of Power Book IV: Force Season 3 are available to stream on the Starz portal. Consisting of ten episodes, the last episode will air on January 16, 2026.
