Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5 recap — The Last Dance

Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5 starts right after the chaos of the last episode. The city is still shaken by JP’s death. Claudia is out of prison. Tommy has also made a dangerous choice. He framed Rashan for Mad Dogg’s murder to protect D-Mac. Now, pressure is coming from every side. The police are closing in. Rival crews are moving. Old enemies are returning. This episode becomes a full explosion of power, revenge, and shifting loyalties.
Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5 opens on the South Side. CBI soldiers are guarding the corner. Suddenly, a familiar threat comes back. The Yardies drive into their territory.
One of them is the same young shooter Tommy injured in Season 1. That was during Tommy’s first deal in Chicago. This shows that this episode is about unfinished business. The Yardies are now selling drugs in CBI’s area. This puts them on a direct collision with Diamond and Jenard. At first, it looks like a territory fight. But it quickly turns personal.
With Willie already dead, anger is growing fast. Jenard is filled with rage. He wants revenge, not strategy.
Tommy sets his plan in motion in Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5
Tommy is still mourning JP’s death. He is also still angry about Liliana. He now has two clear goals: He wants to take Claudia out, and he also wants to lock in full control of Chicago before King Kilo or the police stop him.
Tommy checks on Mireya after being gone all night. He does not tell her the full truth. Their relationship is growing closer. But Tommy is already getting ready for war. Tommy Tricks Claudia and Stacy, and makes a bold move. He calls Claudia himself and pretends he wants peace. He suggests they team up against the Marquez cartel.
Claudia does not fully trust him. But she sees a chance to gain power. She quickly contacts Elise to turn the situation in her favor. At the same time, Stacy Marks is still trying to use Elise against Tommy. But Stacy does not know the truth. Tommy is secretly playing her, too.
Using political pressure and smart manipulation, Tommy forces Stacy to remove Elise’s official protection. Once that protection is gone, Elise becomes vulnerable. That is exactly what Tommy wanted.
Diamond, Jenard, Shanti, and the Yardie trap
In Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5, Diamond and Jenard work together for now. They are guided by Shanti, a quiet but very dangerous person. She tells Jenard to think past revenge. She wants the Yardies used as a public warning. The goal is fear, not just payback. She wants every crew in Chicago to feel it.
Diamond and Jenard set up a meeting with Yardie boss Zamos. They show him CBI’s product. The product impresses him right away. Zamos says it is the best he has ever seen. They pretend to trust each other. Both sides even lay down their guns. It all looks peaceful. But it is only a setup.
Then Diamond makes his real demand. He wants the shooter who killed Willie. Zamos refuses to give him up. That decision seals their fate. At Diamond’s signal, hidden CBI gunmen attack. The Yardies are killed in seconds. It is a violent ambush. The message is clear. CBI will not show weakness. Anyone who challenges them can be erased fast.
When Shanti hears what happened, she understands everything. She knows what Diamond and Jenard have become. Still, she stays with them. She knows how dangerous that choice is.

Tommy flips Elise and traps Claudia
Elise is now unprotected. Tommy meets her face-to-face. He does not kill her. Instead, Tommy offers her a deal of one million dollars. He also offers full immunity. In return, Elise must give him everything she knows about Claudia’s next move.
Elise chooses to survive. She gives Tommy Claudia’s full plan. Then she walks away from the war forever. It is the smartest choice anyone makes in Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5.
Using Elise’s information, Tommy sets a deadly trap in his loft. Claudia thinks she is the one setting the ambush. But she is wrong. She is actually walking into Tommy’s execution chamber.
The final showdown: Tommy vs. Claudia
Claudia breaks into Tommy’s place in Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5. She thinks she has the upper hand. But Tommy is already there. He knows her plan. He is ready. There is no chase. There is no escape. They face each other directly.
For the first time, Claudia is truly alone. She tries to act like Tommy’s equal. She calls herself the last true Flynn. But Tommy controls the room. He controls the moment.
Claudia makes one final move. Tommy answers with deadly force. She fails to outsmart him. This time, the mistake costs her her life. Claudia’s death is violent. But it feels earned. She chose to walk into danger. And because of that choice, she never walks back out.
Shanti helps after Claudia’s death
After killing Claudia, Tommy calls Diamond for help. He needs help with the body. But Diamond does not answer. He is nowhere to be found. This shows how distant their partnership has become. Instead, Tommy calls Shanti.
Shanti arrives quietly. She helps clean the scene. She helps make sure Claudia’s death sends a strong message. While they work, Shanti tells Tommy about the Yardie massacre. Both storylines now connect. Both sides of the city have turned more violent.
Shanti knows how dangerous this world is. She knows who she is standing beside. And she chooses to stay anyway.
Mireya’s pregnancy and her silent choice
While all the violence is happening in Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5, Mireya learns something life-changing. She is pregnant with Tommy’s child. The truth about Tommy’s dangerous life finally hits her. The dream she had about love starts to fade. But she does not tell Tommy. She keeps the secret to herself.
Later that night, she cleans the barstools of Claudia’s blood. This shows how deep she is already inside Tommy’s world. Unlike Ghost, who tried to stop Tariq from following the street life, Mireya seems ready, for now, to accept what loving Tommy truly means.
But this secret will not stay hidden forever. It will explode when Tommy is at his weakest.

Stacy’s loss of control and the new power in the city
Stacy Marks loses control by the end of Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5. The Yardies are wiped out. They were one of her tools. Elise also slips out of her hands. Tommy once again proves he is always ahead of her. His power is bigger than she expected.
Vic is no longer just angry. Claudia’s death breaks him. Her loss hardens him. With support from the Irish, he is ready to strike back at Tommy in a more dangerous way.
Diamond and Jenard grow stronger after the massacre. But they are also more unstable than ever. And Tommy? By the end of Power Book IV: Force Season 3 Episode 5, he has:
• Avenged Liliana and JP
• Killed Claudia
• Outsmarted Stacy
• Learned about CBI’s violent return
• Tightened his control over Chicago
Once again, Tommy stands as the most feared man in the city.
