After a long wait, Power: Origins has officially found its younger Ghost and Tommy, who will take on the roles previously played by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora, respectively -- to play their younger selves.

Hardwick and Sikora have been central to the success of this crime drama series. That's why Starz has decided to revive its characters through spin-off projects more than once. In 2020, it began with Ghost, followed by Raising Kanan in 2021 and Force in 2022. After their successful run, this thriller-genre vehicle is entering a new phase.

As the title suggests, the new spin-off series will be a prequel, tracing the origins of Ghost and Tommy. That's why it needed to cast younger faces who will embody Hardwick and Sikora's appeal. According to Variety, Spence Moore will play the younger Ghost, while Charlie Mann will be starring as the show's other lead, Tommy.

Speaking about the show, here's what fans can expect, as per the outlet,

"[It's] a fun, rambunctious exploration of a new time period in the ‘Power’ franchise [that will] highlight the unbridled audacity of young men on the rise, determined to become legends in the game.”

Power: Origins might be the show the Power fans have been waiting for a long time

Since 2013, Power has been one of the standout projects on Starz. It was spearheaded by Courtney A. Kemp, who has been the creative voice behind this project since its beginning. She has been the creator and showrunner, besides being a producer, along with rapper 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson).

It has since centered around James St. Patrick, nicknamed Ghost, who wanted to turn his life around with a new way of life. It also traced his close bond with Tommy Egan, his best friend, who has been by his side throughout his ruthless past in the world of crime. While Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora made it iconic, it's time for new guys to fill their shoes.

The responsibility now falls on Spence Moore (All American, A.P. Bio) and Charlie Mann (Virdee), who will bring a new side of Ghost and Tommy to the screen in Power: Origins. Upon the announcement of this spin-off series, Kathryn Busby from Starz shared a statement. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it read,

“Our fans have been asking for Ghost and Tommy’s origins story since we first met them in Power -- and with the launch of this series, we’re delivering in a big way. This marks an electrifying new chapter in the franchise’s evolution as we dive deep into the legacy of these iconic characters and the explosive moments that shaped their path.”

Further, the Power: Origins creator Sascha Penn also offered a hopeful note, which, as per THR, read,

“I’m excited to continue to explore the origin stories of the Power Universe’s founding fathers,” Penn said in a statement. “Ghost and Tommy’s backstories have fueled years of constant fascination and speculation among fans, and I’m thrilled to be able to answer some long-held questions and share new layers of the story that viewers won’t see coming.”

Power: Origins is yet to receive an official release date.
