Yellowstone fans have something exciting to look forward to as CBS just dropped the premiere date for Y: Marshals, the spinoff show following Luke Grimes' Kayce Dutton. However, instead of focusing on his life at the Yellowstone ranch, the series will explore more of his life in the military, and feature a new set of characters around him as well.

The Yellowstone spinoff, Y: Marshals is set to premiere on CBS on March 1st, 2026, at 8 PM EST. After the release of the first episode, the season will progress with one episode releasing every Sunday. This will be followed by the show being made available for streaming on Paramount+, after it has been aired on television.
Y: Marshals will explore Kayce Dutton's journey as a military person after his life at the Yellowstone ranch
The plot of Y: Marshals is set after the fifth season of Yellowstone, and it follows Luke Grimes' Kayce Dutton as he leaves his life at the Yellowstone ranch behind, and moves on to join an elite squad of the US military.
While the show will feature a lot of new characters due to the difference in setting, there will be some characters who will reprise their roles from Yellowstone. The show will see the return of Tate Dutton (played by Brecken Merrill), Thomas Rainwater (played by Gil Birmingham), and Mo (played by Mo Bring Plenty).
Aside from this, the show will also see Logan Marshall-Green, of Spiderman: Homecoming fame, joining the cast as Pete Calvin, Kayce Dutton's friend from his time in the military. Arielle Kebbel, Tatanka Means, Ash Santos, and Brett Cullen are also set to join the cast, playing the characters of various US Marshals.
The much-awaited spinoff will show fans a different side of their beloved Kayce Dutton, as they see him explore military life instead of his life at the Yellowstone ranch. However, it is worth noting that this will not showcase a fresh, new slate for Dutton, as there will also be several returning characters from the original show.
While Y: Marshals is the most anticipated Yellowstone spinoff as of now, there are also other spinoffs of the show that are in the works right now. Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) are also scheduled to get their own spinoff show as the duo gained a lot of popularity on the original show. This show will be named The Dutton Ranch. However, no further information is available about this spinoff as of now and fans are yet to receive any update about a premiere date.
