Exciting things are on board for the Prison Break reboot pilot, which is under production at Hulu. In a recent turn of events, Variety magazine confirmed that Justified and The Americans star Margo Martindale will be joining the Prison Break reboot.
Although the plot for the Prison Break reboot is being kept as a tightly guarded secret and there's no potential release date in sight, the buzz surrounding the show is quite high, owing to the phenomenal casting choices made by the showrunners. Margo Martindale is set to play the character of Jessica Strand in the reboot show, which is to be set in the same universe as the original FOX show.
Here's everything that you need to know.
Margo Martindale will star as Jessica Strand on the Prison Break reboot show

The upcoming Prison Break reboot show is being written by Mayans M.C. co-creator Elgin James, who's also serving as the executive producer of the show. It is understandable that James decided to bring in an ensemble cast with whom he has worked in the past and is comfortable.
The latest addition to this cast is three-time Emmy award-winning actress Margo Martindale of Justified fame. As per reports, Martindale will play the character of Jessica Strand, who is described as the Warden of one of the deadliest prisons in the country.
Martindale brings to the table her years of experience in the crime genre. She was previously lauded for her performance on The Americans, along with her contribution to Dexter by playing the character of Camilla Figg, the record's supervisor at Miami Metro who often works in consort with the titular serial killer himself.
Martindale's new role as the Warden on the Prison Break reboot will bring her to the domain of the original show's Warden Henry Pope, played by actor Stacy Keach. It remains to be seen whether Jessica Strand will enable an elaborate escape plan, as did Henry Pope during the debut season of the original show.
Martindale's casting is bound to spice things up, leading the audience to speculate about her agency in a world somewhat connected to that of the original show.
Who else is in the cast of the Prison Break reboot?
Preparation for the reboot show started gathering momentum earlier this year with the announcement that American Gods star Emily Browning has joined the cast. This was followed by the addition of Drake Rodgers (The Winchesters) and Lukas Cage (The White Lotus).
Apart from these three, JR Bourne and Clayton Cardenas are two alumni of Mayans M.C. who have been roped in to join the reboot show, alongside Miles Bullock and Georgie Flores. Another Mayans M.C. alum, Ray McKinnon, is set to play the character of private detective Joe Dahl. They will also be joined by Donal Logue of Sons of Anarchy fame and Lili Taylor.
