David’s past resurfaces, bringing chaos into his life in Pro Bono Episode 10

The tenth episode starts with the trial. The judge asks whether the pro bono team will be able to proceed with the case since Kang David is their senior. However, David intervenes and tells him that he resigned. He also disrespects the team, telling them that the pro bono team is incompetent.

The pro bono team keeps on using tactics that David taught them, which helped them navigate the case in their direction. The pro bono team first brings the judge’s father-in-law so that they are able to get a later date. As this episode progresses, David is also using his own tactics to divert the case in his direction.

He pretends to be a patient and uses a wheelchair to enter the courtroom, shocking everyone. The judge decides to give a later date for the trial because of David’s condition. Jun-woo, watching David’s activities, decides to take a step forward in the next hearing. Nan-hui gets quite suspicious of his words as he tells them, as he wants to gain a firm footing in the firm.

This episode continues with the next trial hearing, where Jun-woo tells the judge the case is not a trial but a personal vendetta. He continues that David held a grudge against the plaintiff’s father. He begins to provide evidence to support his claims, which further complicates the case. David asks Jun-woo to provide some concrete evidence to support his claims.

Jun-woo then calls Attorney Choi Dong-geun as a witness. Dong-geun was the first case’s investigating prosecutor. As the episode continues, David meets Jung-in. David asks whether they are enemies now since he is fighting against the pro bono team, and Jung-in is the captain of the team. However, Jung-in tells him that she is no longer the leader of the team. Jung-in is also worried about whether David will be able to win the case, as her reputation is also connected to his win.

It is also revealed that Dr. Oh has been helping Jun-woo with the case. While disguised as a cleaner, Nan-hui overhears the whole discussion between the two of them. Jung-in arrives at her father’s office to confront him. She also gives her resignation to him, knowing his father’s involvement in the whole case. The trial takes a negative turn for David.

David then asks the judge for the trial to continue for one more day, which the judge accepts. After the trial, the pro bono team discusses the case and wonders if David’s actions were correct or wrong. Nan-hui confronts Jun-woo in front of the whole team and asks about the documents he received through Mr. Bae. At the end of this episode, Jung-in appears as David’s attorney.

The case, which initially seemed to go against David, is now moving in his favor. Gi-ppeum meets with David to ask him about the truth after finding out that he was the judge for a case when her family was in trouble. She decides to take things further during the trial by bringing up David’s mother so that the case can turn in their direction.
