Pro Bono: Release date news, cast, streaming details and more about the upcoming tvN K-drama

tvN's legal K-drama, Pro Bono, will see Hospital Playlist's Jung Kyung-ho returning to the legal drama trope after his hit Netflix series, Oh My Ghosts Clients. The series will follow Kyung-ho's character Kang David, a successful Judge, who becomes a public interest lawyer after resigning from his higher position.

Pro Bono will premiere on December 6, 2025. It will air at 9:20 p.m. KST on tvN. For the international audience, the legal K-drama will be available to watch on Netflix.

Pro Bono: Release date news and streaming details

Pro Bono, starring Jung Kyung-ho, will release two episodes every weekend starting with Saturday, December 6, 2025, and another episode on Sunday, December 7, 2025. The K-drama consists of 12 episodes, which will premiere every weekend until the series wraps up on January 11, 2026. The episodes will air on tvN at 9:20 p.m. KST. However, the timings will differ in different countries due to varying time zones.

Apart from airing on tvN in South Korea, Pro Bono will also be available to watch on Netflix for the International audience. To watch it on the streaming platform, you need to subscribe to either of the three plans, i.e., Standard with ads, which costs $7.99 a month, Standard Plan, which costs $17.99 a month, or the Premium Plan at $24.99 per month.

Pro Bono: Plot, cast and more about the K-drama

As shown in the trailer of the upcoming K-drama, Kyung-ho's character, Kang David, is depicted as one of the successful and popular judges in the legal circuit. Whether it's the legal field or social media, David is among the most popular for his work and image.

However, due to his unhinged ambition, David finds himself in a situation and has to resign from his job. After resigning from a high position in the legal world, David joins a non-profit organization, known as Pro Bono, as a public interest lawyer. In the organization, David meets Park Gi-ppeum (So Joo-yeon), another public interest lawyer, who is known for deeply involving herself in a case and helping the victims.

Together, the duo comes up with a plan and uses the money earned through defending large corporations and using that money to defend the victims that they represent in their Organization.

Along with Jung Kyung-ho, the tvN legal K-drama also includes Yoon Na-moo and So Joo-yeon, known for Dr. Romantic 2, Seo Hye-won of Alchemy of Souls fame, Lee Yoo-young, known for K-drama Dare to Love Me, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha's Kang Hyung-seok, Kim Kap-soo, and Choi Dae-hoon, among several others.

The K-drama is written by Moon Yoo-seok, who is also known for his work in the legal mystery K-drama, The Devil Judge, and is directed by Kim Seong-yeon, renowned for his work in superhit K-dramas such as Itaewon Class, Sound of Magic, and Dream High, among others.
