Alan Ritchson is hyping up the fourth season of his action thriller Reacher, which will adapt Lee Child's novel Gone Tomorrow for the screen. With three successful seasons, fans are already gearing up for the adventure in the fourth season, and Ritchson's update is even more hopeful as he calls it the "best" season of the show so far.

Speaking to ScreenRant recently, the actor spoke about development on Reacher's fourth season as he told the outlet,

"It's been a beast to wrestle to the ground, but man, this is by far the best season we've ever made. Very excited."

Ritchson has received much acclaim for his role on the show, establishing him as one of the best action stars on the screen as of now. The role has become a career highlight for him, as fans wait for him to return as Jack Reacher.

In a previous interview with Shortlist, Child spoke about how Ritchson was the best choice for the role as the author told the outlet,

"Alan was the one, he was the guy. There was no question about that as he owned the role. Reacher is a thinker as well as a fighter. He is always a step ahead of everybody else. And I found out that Alan, when he was younger, was a seriously good chess player. And so again, that was like a connection with the characters...He brings with him exactly what we wanted."

Reacher is gearing up for a fourth season, and the story picks up with Jack caught in the fallout of one bad night on the New York City subway. Season 4 adapts the 2009 Lee Child novel Gone Tomorrow, the thirteenth book in the long running Jack Reacher series. This time, the journey begins underground, where Reacher notices a woman on the subway who seems dangerously on edge. What happens next launches him into a secretive world involving police corruption, undercover terrorists, and a conspiracy that winds through New York’s streets. Alan Ritchson has already teased that the upcoming chapters are a whirlwind of intense action and intricate set pieces.

The cast lineup brings back Ritchson as Jack Reacher, joined by Christopher Rodriguez Marquette as Jacob Merrick, Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth, Anggun as Amisha Hoth, and Kevin Corrigan as Detective Docherty. The show shifts a few names from the book. The detective known as Theresa Lee on the page appears here as Tamara Green, and Jacob Merrick seems to be a version of Jacob Mark. Lila Hoth keeps her original name, though her mother, called Svetlana in the novel, becomes Amisha in the series. There is no confirmation yet about John Sansom, a major figure in the book who has not been officially announced for the show.
